Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The shower screen didn’t close and the bathroom was wet post every shower.
Great location near the gothic quarter and old town. Right near the metro which made it really easy to get around. The two male staff were warm welcoming and friendly. They gave directions and recommendations which were spot on.

No slippers in the bedroom. More options in the vendo machine would be good since there was no in-house dining.
The staff are all very nice and friendly. They were helpful in giving us tips about the area and answered all requests satisfactorily.

The property was a little tired, worn couches, dingy towels. They did not have breakfast. Also, toilet paper had to go in the waste basket.
Carlos at the front desk was like having our personal guide for Barcelona. He was so helpful with all the information we needed for our short stay. The location was just steps from Las Ramblas promenade and the subway stop. Our room was quiet and spacious with a nice terrace. The room was clean with a good coffee maker and fridge in the room.

Lack of refrigerator, we asked for king size bed room, which was not available, they promised for the second night a king size top mattress which was not provided, they just put a king size sheet.

Although it is acceptable that the room is small but the bed was not comfortable for 2 persons. A renovation would be suitable for the room.
Good location, really close to La Rambla and the metro station however is was not noisy. Staff was really friendly.

The heater did not work, room 403.

The first night we had a smell from the drains, but were quickly moved the following morning to an alternative room which was very comfortable. The transition was very easy and only involved us leaving our bags in reception. When we returned that evening they were already in our new room.
The reception staff, especially Carlos, were so friendly and helpful. They spent time chatting and offering suggestions and advice which definitely enhanced our overall Barcelona experience.

Wifi was very inconsistent, most times not working. Good thing I spent most of my time outside of the hotel.
Staff were all super friendly and helpful. The location is absolutely perfect.

No refrigerator. On the ground floor, couldn’t open blinds to let it light as room faced onto a courtyard/hall/neighbouring room.

The bathtub was my main problem, it was clogged so every time we took a bath the water was filling the bathtub and it was emptying really really slowly, so the water was gradually filling up the bathtub. We raised the issue the very first day, but until we left it was not fixed.
The location is amazing, just 2 minutes away from a metro station on La Ramblas.

The room didn’t have a refrigerator, no window in the bathroom and some things were a bit old / broken . There was a tiny nice balcony tho there weren’t chairs so we didn’t use it.

The air conditioning was automatically set to warm. I had to actually turn it off to make it cool enough to sleep. The shower leaked The soap was unbelievably difficult to get out of its plastic wrapping😁
It's perfectly positioned, about 50m from the Ramblas and the tube station. It's small but comfortable. Ideal for me as I was only staying 1 night in Barcelona. It's quiet and has a nice sized shower. The staff were very pleasant

The wifi was quite slow, I ended up turning off my wifi and using my roaming data for things that were important or time sensitive.
We only stayed one night, but it was very comfortable and in a great location. The staff were all great, and organized an airport transfer very early in the morning for us.
