Because of the birthday party going on until the early hours there was quite a lot of noise. The Hotelier and his staff had not been to bed so they were suffering a little at breakfast. They did manage to give us a good breakfast but retired to bed before we left so we weren't able to give them the thanks they deserved.

Evening meal was excellent. There was a birthday party being held for a villager and the atmosphere was very good. We were made quite welcome. Breakfast was good. Location was very good for our onward travel. The Hotelier spoke no English but he made us very welcome and provided secure parking for the 5 motorcycles in our group.

We arrived at the end of a festival and the restaurant was closed in the evening to give the staff a break. Next time I’ll check when we book.

It’s our second stay here, the rooms have had a makeover since our first stay several years ago. The staff are still great and we were still able to park our bike in the secure yard under our window.

Hotel Restaurante El Golobar is located on the edge of the main industrial area of Reinosa. However, do not let this put you off. I stayed for more than two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed my accommodation, location and meals. The staff are very friendly, my room was better than I expected. It was refreshed every day, the bed was made and clean towels provided. There is a great variety of choice on the chalk boards and menu. The service is almost immediate. I barely had time to sit with my drink before the meals arrived. They provided an extra touch for me by producing a proper British beer tankard from their freezer for that extra cold drink in the heat of summer. The meals are generous and so are the prices. I ate my meals in the bar but there is also a dining restaurant off the bar. The kitchen staff deserve a special mention. They work really hard and fast and they will provide more or less whatever you want. Parking is easy just outside the hotel. I could drive into town in about one minute or walk in. One extra benefit is that the hotel accommodation has a separate entrance. A key is provided for this entrance with your room key. You do not have to worry about what time you leave or arrive back during your stay. One hundred yards from the hotel is a petrol station. The petrol and diesel is cheaper than elsewhere. The ladies who run it keep it beautifully clean and tidy. They will fill up the tank for you. Reinosa is a lovely town, well worth a wonder. The river Ebro rises just above the town and runs through the centre. There are some wonderful country and mountain drives and walks nearby. There is an 18 hole golf course and in winter a ski resort at Alto Campoo. One last point of interest. I was parked and sitting in my car outside the hotel when an animal came trotting down the middle of the road towards me. It was a large adult hare! I was so amazed that I forgot to get a photo. I have not seen a hare where I live in Sussex since I was a young boy.

Location is basically on a trading estate but on the way to ferry so great for one night. Very reasonable rates.

A good place for an overnight stop on a motorcycle tour. Friendly staff and safe parking for motorcycles. The rooms are nice and clean, with a comfortable bed and good bathroom. Good value.

I have stayed at this Hotel before. The food is really good and not at all expensive. The Sopa Pescado was fantastic and I was given an extra portion! Great base for touring on motorocycle around the mountains
