Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The fire precautions. Fireproof doors shut if fire, sealing many bedrooms from stairs or fire escape stairs.

It's so dark. Hallways are a very deep forest green. Lights off until motion detectors kick in. Very uncomfortable. Common areas are butternut squash. Really needs brightening & a refresh.
The room was clean and comfortable. Coffee & water in room. The common area was huge indoor/outdoor with complimentary coffee, tea, & flavored water. Security code locks on doors. Breakfast not included but impressive spread.

It was a shame there wasn’t a bar so we could sit on the terrace with a drink after an evening out. Also a bit of noise in rooms facing the road, but not enough to be an issue.
The location was great ; close to metro and lots of attractions close by. The breakfast was great , with a wide range of hot and cold foods. They also provided gluten free bread and cakes for my husband who is coeliac. Nice terrace outside breakfast area.

Room was small for the price also the bathroom was very small and the sliding door didn’t work properly. We asked the staff to help us locate the train station and how best to get to Stiges, they weren’t of any help. Pointed in the wrong direction for the train and didn’t provide any extra detail.

I wasn't crazy about the bathrooms, think they can be spruced up a little. Also my fridge didn't seem to cool for some odd reason. Fluffier towels would be great.
I really liked the hotel location. It was quite central and close to the metro and shops. The breakfast lounge was bright and cheery with basic but nice meal options. The staff were able to change my room from a single to a double when I complained it was too tight and let me swap rooms early in the morning before check-in.

Everything was good
Location and I got a room with a street view for the first time (after a dozen stays at this hotel). The luggage storage system is great (large lockers to put your suitcase after check out).

The bed, which was a double, was quite small for 2 people and the mattress wasn’t very comfortable. The walls / bathroom could do with a bit of decorating as it was a bit run down and could’ve been cleaner. Also, we weren’t able to adjust the temperature in the room, so when it was cold in the room it was a matter of waiting to feel warmer, and when it was too hot, we only had a slight breeze from the door / window in the room.
Firstly, the location of this hotel is perfect!! There are so many restaurants, places etc within walking distance, as well as the metro. The staff are also very friendly and the room is mostly good enough for a short stay.

The room was not so spacious but I didn't mind because we were there just for a few days.Also the room didn't have an exceptional view but it was really quiet.

Didn’t like the fact that security was quite bad as anyone can just act like they stay in the hotel and enter. To enter the room, all we had to do was key in the passcode on the keypad (which, in this day, would be very easy to hack).

All was good
The room is spacious, very nicely decorated, with small gifts for guests. The location is very central. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast was really great, a variety of everything including eggs, fresh fruits, meats, cereals and so on.
