Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe reception staff seem to be in the wrong job, when I was checking in, the staff couldn’t tell me about the parking rates across the road, and when she asked me if I’d like to know more about tourist things to do, I said yes and asked her some specifics questions, instead of answering them, she handed me a bunch of irrelevant brochures. Also, as a single traveller, she asked me how many people in the room, I said just me, then she asked, are you travelling alone? Obvious question and when I confirmed yes she raised her eyebrow!? To get into the main door into the hotel, you have to ring the door bell and be let in by a staff, there are times when the door bell does not work or the staff did not hear it and you are left standing outside on the narrow side street.
Fantastic location almost next door to a food market and walkable to the beach and tourist attractions. Added bonus is a carpark across the street that has special long stay rates - you have to speak to the car park manager to prepay

GermanyIt was the second time i stayed there and think it's not good value for money. There is nothing really bad about this place but its just overpriced for what u get, especially during high season. But this might be the same in other hotels in Bcn in summer. The bathrooms really need some update!!! Low water pressure. WiFi very poor!!
Beds are comfortable. Staff is nice, they gave us another room as ours was really small for two persons and five nights.

United KingdomOverall we had a great stay. The room we stayed in didn't have much natural light and looks out to balconies of opposite building, but we didn't mind because we wanted to explore the city more than stay in the room. The only annoying thing was that room and hallway doors are a bit hard to close quietly and can make a loud slamming noise. A couple of other minor things; the safe inside the room didn't work and there were some gaps in the shower panel, but that didn't really affect us and we would still recommend this hotel.
Very comfortable bed, quiet and clean room, excellent location and friendly helpful staff. We stayed four nights and had great night sleeps. The hotel felt safe and the reception desk operates 24hr. The air conditioning in the room worked very well and was relatively quiet. The windows are very well insulated and block most of the noise and they had thick curtains to block the daylight. The location was fantastic right in the middle of La Rambla and close to the market and lots of cafes and restaurants and tourist attractions. Overall, we highly recommend this place if you are looking for a comfortable safe place to rest when visiting Barcelona.

Austria-location central but in a weird and dirty area -annoying to always ring the bell to get in the main door -cleaned but not really if you look closely - everything is outdated and lots of things are broken and should be replaced
- location is one of the best for attraction proximity, within 20/30 min walk and metro station 2 min away -shower gel, shampoo and hair dryer included in the bathroom, as well as towels -air condition -staff friendly

United States of AmericaRamblas in Barcelona was our last leg of a two week trip in Spain. We stayed in other hotels in Sevilla and Madrid including another from the Vincci chain and they both were a bit less expensive than Ramblas. Thus I am comparing Ramblas to these others and it paled in comparison. The room was very bare in essentials. There were no bathroom extras: tissues, shower cap, seat/stool etc.. There was no extra comfortable seating option in the room, no folding stand to place luggage on for unpacking and no USB ports for charging phones or tablets. The furniture in the room and hotel, while clean, was not as nice. The hours for breakfast were shorter at Ramblas (8:00-10:30) compared to (7:00-10:30) in both other hotels we stayed. Staffing was at a minimum, having to often ask for replenishments of items. The breakfast options and presentation were unimpressive especially when they charged a similar price as the others which were both OUTSTANDING. I felt that Ramblas offered the bare minimum while their pricing was no less than the others, especially compared to the Vincci in Madrid. I am not blaming staff but it definitely should be of concern and addressed by management.
The staff at Ramblas were very nice. Raquel and Anna at the front desk were always very helpful and attentive. The room was very big and the bed was comfortable. The cleaning staff did a good job cleaning our room. The breakfast was decent.

United Arab EmiratesVery basic hostel like feels for the price we paid, almost 150 euros a night! Plus we didn't feel safe in the area, quite a few weird people lurking around. Had a pick pocket attempt too. Hotel itself locks its doors, you have to ring bell first.
It's in a busy area, lots of restaurants and shops.
