The place and the room were very clean and comfortable. Lovely view to the sea from our terrace plus they have a pool and leisure seating / beds area to use. Breakfast was delicious with a wide choice of delightful options , including freshly squeezed orange juice, very good coffee and again a super view over to the sea! The staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful.

it rained .... a lot

the hotel was lovely & quirky ,not a modern hotel which we liked , more like a family home feel to it. The room was nice & large with lovely view & the bed was super large & comfy. The breakfast was great with everything you could want .

There wasn't anything not to like.

This hotel should be 5 stars it was incredible. So so very clean. The breakfast was amazing too. Nothing was tol much trouble I had to change my dates at very short notice but I wasn't a problem. I can't say enough about this hotel. And the view from our room was amazing with a beautiful balcony with sun loungers too. In my opinion it's one of the best places I have stayed. And I have stayed in 5 star hotels which wasn't as good as this one.i would definitely recommend to everyone you won't be disappointed. Thank you metcedes for having us and I will definitely be back.

We had a fabulous stay at Casa Mercedes. It exceeded all expectations. The location is a few minutes walk away from the centre of Nerja in a quiet residential area. The hostal is beautifully clean, well laid out with wonderful views down to the sea. The facilities are exceptional, with a lovely pool area too. Breakfasts are amazing, in a bright dining room with amazing sea views. There is a wide range of items on offer every day, fresh produce and homemade items including jams and cakes, as well as cooked to order breakfast items too. The family run hostal is a credit to them. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We hope to visit again one day in the future.

There is nothing that could have been to make our stay better. Everything was perfect.

Outstanding property and hosts. Family run, impeccably clean, everyone welcoming, courteous and helpful. I could not fault it. I have never had more choice in breakfast options and everything was delicious. Fresh orange juice, squeezed just as you sat down, and the fruit bowls were a particular highlight. If I could give this place 11 out of 10 I would. Everything possible to add to the comfort of your stay was done. Absolutely without doubt will be back.

Beautiful small hotel in a great location, near to the town and beaches. Our room was very comfortable and had a balcony with a wonderful sea view. One of the best breakfasts we have had anywhere - everything very fresh, many homemade items and a great selection. Hosts were friendly and helpful and clearly take pride in what they do. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We loved it all.

Nostalgia Casa Mercedes is a small family-run hotel operated with extraordinary attention to detail. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a small balcony from which we had an amazing view where we witnessed the most spectacular sunrise we have ever seen! The only thing that matched that sunrise was the gorgeous breakfast we had afterward. I do not say this lightly, because I care a great deal about high quality, lovingly prepared food. It is my great passion, and obviously it is theirs as well. My husband and I revelled for almost six weeks in Spain and this was the best breakfast we had anywhere. Utterly extraordinary. And the view from the breakfast room was as miraculous as the one from our room!

Owners were very welcoming. Free on-street parking in nearby streets. Room and facilities were all very clean and functional. Multi channel TV covered most European languages. Breakfast was very good and something to look forward to each morning.

We booked this hotel based on the reviews and they were not wrong. The hotel was in a great location with easy access to the beach and town. The rooms were lovely with the most comfortable beds and amazing views on the balcony. Great communication from the minute we booked and really helpful with taxi bookings. The breakfast is amazing with fabulous views.

The location was perfect, quiet but close to all amenities, the view from our room was stunning and the family run atmosphere made you feel welcomed and at home. The breakfasts were varied and delicious. We will definitely go back again when we return to Nerja and will be telling all our family and friends.

I didn't like to leave!

We booked a junior suite with a terrance and sea view for the last couple of days before flying home. It was the best decision to spend the extra money and booking that room. When we weren't touring the town, we were just sitting on the terrance chatting while looking at the view. So relaxing. It was very quiet at the hotel. Don't let the road below concern you. There was very little traffic on it so noise was not a problem. The breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever had while travelling. The selection of food was extensive. There were food selections for everyone. Mmmmmmmm. The staff were very accommodating and worked hard to make your stay was a wonderful experience. Thank you!!!

The only thing (and I am being really picky) is I would have liked brighter lamps by the bed for reading at night.

This "hostal" did not disappoint at all. I had a simple double room with small balcony, great views across to the sea in the distance. The hosts were discreet and friendly, there was even a little resident dog (who kept to himself mostly). The bed was so comfy and I loved having the little terrace to sit out on. The breakfast room has the same lovely views, a great way to start the day. Also what the photos don't show is the building itself has character, it's a slightly quirky house with a leafy entrance and little courtyard - very different to the modern soulless hotels. And it's in a very pleasant, quiet and safe-feeling neighbourhood.

Great place to stay in Nerja. The location is good, peaceful and quiet but close to everything. The room was nice with a smart bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was excellent.
