Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicBetter direction for the 22€/day parking. We stayed in a parking house for almost 40€/day. From the description of the hotel I somehow missed the information that the bathroom is shared. Nevertheless, the bathroom was very clean.
Very good location in the city center of Malaga. The receptionist was very nice, but Spanish is needed.

SpainWe were moved from the hostel to an apartment. It was next to the market and was a bit noisy early in the morning. Not sure what made it an apartment as the only addition to a hotel room was a microwave, no kettle or plates etc
Location in the town was excellent near to the centre.

GermanyThe only drawback was that I was there during the Semana Santa, so Calle Larios was blocked off for the Eastern processions. I am not quite certain how I was supposed to get in and out of the Hostal at that point so I went to bed without dinner out of fear to not be let back in later^^. No one warned me about this either.
The location is very good, everything in the center is within walking distance. The room and the bathrooms are clean and comfy, albeit the rooms are quite small.

NetherlandsIf you are staying in Málaga for more than a couple of days, choose a large room - more comfortable.
Right on Calle Marqués de Larios, Málaga's prime sopping street, this is a great location within walking distance of the historic sights as well as the port. The metro and cercanias urban train station are closeby, too. This is a great place to stay for a short stopover in the city. Restaurants, cafés and taparias are all close by. Everything you need is right there.,

CanadaShower was a little inconvenient because it was handheld, ONLY reason this is not a 10!!
This hostal was amazing! Central location right on the main street and a 10 minute walk to any attraction. The staff were all so amazing - in particular there was a male Chinese employee who helped us check in (unfortunately we didn’t get his name), and he went out of his way to write down his personal recommendations and give them to us. We didn’t see him again after the first day, but if he reads this, we went to all the restaurants that were recommended and attended the flamenco show, and loved all of them! Thank you so much! The room was also spacious with air conditioning, and the shared bathrooms were very clean.

United KingdomRoom was just a basic room, not much space other than the bed and a shared bathroom. Would of been nice to have a mini fridge and a kettle to make a hot drink.
Pretty good location on the main street, still a little bit of walking to the beach or the other side of old town.

IrelandA little noisy at the front of the building but not bad given it's location. Place is a bit aged but overall a very good option.
This hostal is all about the location. Situated at the bottom of Larios street, couldn't be better. Small compact room with wash hand basin. Toilets and showers very clean. Friendly staff.

United KingdomMy room at the back had a slight greasy smell coming up the courtyard well I think from the output ducts of one of the fast food places nearby - it's not the hostal's fault on anything they can do much about. I guess in the summer, the windows stay closed and the air conditioning is on so it doesn't notice.
Everything clean and modern with comfortable bed and good shower (I had a room without ensuite) and nice people on reception. In an amazing location - the carnival passed right past the door! The guests with street-facing rooms would have been able to look down on it! On third floor with good lift. And there's someone on reception 24 hours.

SpainThere wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property.
We’d booked for Hostal Larios for New Years Eve 2023 however as they were fully booked they had a large studio about 300 or so metres away which was excellent. 4 beds in it, a very large room with an en-suite shower and a balcony overlooking the market hall in Malaga. Very well located, easy walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants, marina. Spotlessly clean.

United KingdomBed, as I mentioned above, is the big downside. The dark colour of the "bedsheets" was probably indicative that they are intended to hide the dirt. I had a room right in front of the reception and it was very noisy. For almost about an hour around midnight, there was stuff being moved around a lot. To make matters worse it was some plastic stuff (some covers probably) and the noise was painful for that period. Except for the bed, a broken bed lamp and this noise, its an amazing place in every other way. I dont mind going back to give it another shot. I will specifically ask for a room away from reception. I actually did ask with no success. I couldn't push much as I just booked a day before.
Everything very clean, including the shared toilets, except for the bed. Excellent location. Very easy to find and check-in. Just the right size room with all the right optimal amenities.
