Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hotel is next to a popular bar. There is noise and people smoking on the street at night. The room is small for two people, with limited closet space. No refrigerator for storing food and cold drinks.
The host Jose is super helpful. He lives in the same building. Whenever I have a question or need support, he is always ready to help. The room is clean and well-organized. The location is close to restaurants and shopping.

United States of AmericaNothing at all, it was perfect.
This was a wonderful small, quiet, charming inn just off Plaza de la Trinidad, a beautiful treed square with a fountain and a number of restaurants with a charming local vibe. The host Jose and his wife are super responsive and friendly. The lobby and rooms were immaculately clean and felt new. We were able to easily walk to the Alhambra, Albaicín, and Sacromonte, but you can easily catch a bus/taxi/Uber.

AustraliaLocation is fantastic. You’re in the heart of a very lively part of Granada. Shopping, tapas, bars, dining and a gorgeous plaza are just a few steps from the front door of the hostal. Jose the host was super friendly, kind and helpful. He took time to show me and recommend excellent places to visit and eat at. He arranged a couple of tours for me and as a solo first traveller in Granada it was greatly appreciated. Would definitely return there. Gracias Jose 😊

SwitzerlandThe only little thing that would have made it even greater would have been cafe and tea in the room. But the location is great. It is easy to get cafe in the plaza.
Everything. Super clean, outstanding service, especially with the car parking.

United States of AmericaNothing - hot water, clean room, kind staff, comfy beds and pillows. It was perfect.
The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that guests are welcome to the entire city, not just the hotel. We so appreciated the detailed map to sites and recommended restaurants (Cafeteria D’sana was the best breakfast we’ve had in all of Spain), and the great help getting to the train station in the rain. We plan to return and stay longer than our 3 night visit this time.

ItalyNothing. Everything was superb.
The service, the hospitality, everything is new and clean and scented. José at the reception is marvelous, the best manager I've ever known. The location is tactical, in the heart of the town. The room was big and clean, the bathroom so perfect, the shower was new and without a drop of limestone. The perfect stay.

United KingdomThe room and bed was quite small (just a standard double) but were fine us. You need to bring your own tea and coffee.
Great central location but very little noise as it’s half-way along a side street. On arrival, we were given a map with all the best bars, restaurants and historic sites (tailored for our tastes) circled. All the recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed the little terrace on our floor which only we seemed to use.

United KingdomEverything was perfect
Location was great. A minute from Plaza Trinidad and five minutes from Nueva, but very quiet as on a mainly pedestrianised road. The common areas of the building are very stylish. There is a sitting area with sofas on the ground floor and a small roof terrace with shade on the roof. There is a lift. Everything is spotlessly clean. José was very welcoming and spent time providing me with a personalised map showing his recommendations based on my preferences. All that I tried were great and I have kept the map for reference so I can try more of the suggestions when I return to Granada in the summer. I had a room on the third (top) floor. It was quite spacious, the bed was very comfortable and had good quality linens. The lighting was good and there were sockets on each side of the bed for charging phones. The air-con was extremely efficient and was quiet. There was built in storage for clothes and a suitcase, with lots of hangers, and a small table and seating. Most unusual for a Spanish hotel, there was even a kettle! José told me that although this is unlikely to be used by Spaniards, he knows that the English and Chinese like to drink tea, so I was able to wake up to a cup of Earl Grey in the mornings. The bathroom was spacious, with nice towels and a very efficient powerful shower. There was shelving to store my toiletries. The room was cleaned to an excellent standard each day. As a solo woman traveller, it is important to feel safe and comfortable. I could not have chosen a better place to stay and Hostal Rodri will always be my first choice when I return to Granada, but book very early, as it is quite rightly, very popular.
