We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United States of America1-2 of the front desk staff were a little curt in their responses to my friend and I. Would have appreciated a nicer demeanor and tone from them.
Wonderful location! Hotel was beautiful....colors, furnishings and the signature smell when you walk in is lovely. Hector (bartender) went out of his way to help us get drinks one night. Very pleasant. We did not eat breakfast there, but the snacks we ordered from the bar were great. Great sangria as well. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again!

While disappointing, it’s understandable given the environmental concerns the city is addressing. This didn’t detract from our enjoyable experience, but it’s something for potential visitors to keep in mind.
Our recent stay at Hotel 1898 was a delightful experience, largely thanks to its prime location and exceptional services. The hotel stands out in Barcelona with its unusually spacious rooms, offering a welcome respite after a day of exploring the city. Nestled right next to La Rambla, the location couldn't be more convenient for accessing local attractions, dining, and shopping. One of the highlights of our stay was the daily tea time at 16:00. It was a charming touch that provided a perfect break in the day, and we made it a point not to miss it. Additionally, the live shows offered by the hotel were a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in the local culture without having to leave the comfort of the hotel. The staff at Hotel 1898 were incredibly accommodating, particularly on our last day, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free end to our stay. Their attention to detail and readiness to assist with any request added greatly to our overall comfort.

Stunning building, well maintained and it smelled amazing. Fabulous rooftop bar with views right across the city and really friendly staff. An excellent spa too. Great breakfasts.

Position of hotel on Les Rambles Quality of building , size and age was just smart Rooftop garden and bar was a great feature Staff were helpful and friendly Restaurant staff did respond to allergy issues.

United KingdomThe pools are still mandatorily closed which is such a shame. The lobby would welcome a new refreshed makeover in lighter colours. It is dark and heavily perfumed so didn’t invite chilling there or drinking at the bar.
We love the location and our room was really comfy and quiet so we slept really well. The rooftop bar and chill out area is totally wonderful after a busy sightseeing day

Oh we had the most amazing time!! The hotel is perfectly situated and is just lovely. The bed we super comfortable and we slept very well. The room was gorgeous and the staff friendly. The breakfast each day was fabulous with lots of options. The view from the roof top bar was superb and the staff in the downstairs made excellent cocktails. We were thier for my husbands 40th and on his birthday there was a bottle of cava, balloons and cake!! I cannot cannot thank you all enough for that. We had the greatest time thank you
