Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsWhile it's relatively close to the short and the centre, the actual location of the hotel is not in the nicest part of the town - it's full of high rises, on a rather busy street (on a scale of a small town). The apartments are OK, but they are not big. Our balcony overlooked that busy street I mention earlier. If you'd like to sleep without airco and decide to open the windows then some of the rooms would be too noisy. The major disadvantage was the sport facilities which were not great, it's a super small gym, and the machines are quite rundown. It really requires a major refresh. Also, bear in mind, there's no salt/pepper/coffee, not even for the first meal. It's also not about the hotel, but the parking on the street is really busy, in July it was really difficult to find a spot. The hotel's parking was rather expensive.
It's a good place in general, it's about 15 min slow walk to the sea shore, about 10-15 minutes to the old centre. The pool is huge. Having the washing machine in the room was an advantage. Everyday cleaning was also good to have.

United KingdomNo air conditioning in rooms. Apartment was on top floor so we were reluctant to open windows fully with three young kids. Parking was expensive but little choice as no parking available near the hotel.
Lovely pool. Close to the beach. Food in pool restaurant was good. Breakfast selection good. Spacious apartment. Ideal for a stop over.

FinlandI thought half board was buffet but actually not. Food from menu and quality below awerage. We did not used that until weekend came and theb buffer existed and it was then ok. Also i doubt how about room temp at hot season. Air cond was more like fan effect rather than real cooling. Also beds are quite 'used'. Don't read this too negative
Very very friendly staff, clean everywhere, good pool with attactive surrounding. Huge size suite. 'Old days' glamour

GibraltarThe lunch menu doesn't have any other option other than pizza for the kids. The dinner buffet wasn't very good at all. Poor choice and mostly cold and felt like cheap food and bad quality.
The decor of the hotel was lovely (although some cracked mirrors need replacing). The pool and grounds are beautiful. You can tell a lot of effort goes into keeping the white walls clean and the gardens spotless. We stayed in a junior suite and it was huge. Would be very comfortable for a longer stay as the kitchen is well equipped and the rooms and very comfortable. Parking is available at 17 euro a night but is a very secure underground car park. The breakfast buffet was lovely.

United Kingdomthe restaurant/bar never seemed to be open, so nowhere to have a drink other than around the pool. Staff were miserable, Air Conditioning was barely noticeable in the apartment, not enough chairs for four people to sit comfortably, the car park was expensive considering how much we had already paid 16 euros a night! not a 4 star hotel, no room service, no kettle, more like self catering with a nice pool.
Amazing pool, good breakfast, decent selection of options at the breakfast buffet.
