If they put some tea bags, coffee and milk pods with some small biscuits as a detail it would be appreciated. There was an old fashioned coffee machine in the room. I am a customer service person and I know that these details make a difference. Otherwise perfect.

We did not like the entrance, it is a building where each floor is a different hostel and only the interior of the hostels are decorated and bright coloured; the entrance is dirty and scary and I would not go in there alone

The room went beyond our expectations for a hostel; we had a private bathroom with hot water in the shower, many towels, a black towel to remove makeup, a TV, a fridge, a hair dryer!

Getting a room that it was not supposed to and even if i had booked quite a month ago, having as response that we couldn't tell you bcs we choosed yesterday that you have this room😳 Eventhough i asked them since i've prebooked about the windowview and they did not told me that my room was with a "tricky" window. Just they have to be fair, that's all, because i've paid the same price and not a lower one because of this room situated such. This kind of problem i've seen even in other reviews for the small double room. And than they wanted me to pay more if i wanted another room or to have money back if i wanted to leave. P.s bed linens and the towels could be better. And also the cleaning. I've seen no staff (reception) in 3 days.

The bed runner was a VERY old and worn-out blanket that was absolutely full of white lint or something like that. Thankfully it's not something I really need for my stay so I just tossed it on the floor but it was a bad taste in an otherwise really nice stay. I will stay there again (this was my third time actually), but please get rid of those bed runners asap. Also, the hallway's light sensor doesn't reach rooms 6 and 7 so you have to lock your door in the dark. And the shower head had a tear in it and a lot of water was coming out that way too.

Location is great, the room was perfect for my needs as a solo traveler, the bed was very comfy, the heating was great (I stayed there during some pretty cold days). And even though I didn't need it, the makeup removing towel was a nice touch.

The bathroom was small but workable however the bathroom lighting was very poor and the towels were awful (just old, not absorbant and worn but clean).

Principe location was awesome but not for the faint of heart. It was busy with inner city activities all day and all night. BUT the balcony windows and doors are new so the noise did not bother us at all. It is walking distance to everything in the centro -- restaurants, museums, shopping, Retiro park. Many subway stops nearby.

On two out of the three mornings we were there, the shower was terrible: switching from very hot to very cold every few seconds.

It's well located, clean and comfortable. During the night it's pretty quiet. The instructions for check in and check out were very clear. Don't let the vintage elevator scare you - it's functional, safe and the antique look is part of the charm.

Excellent location in the centre of Madrid. Ten minutes walk from Sol, Metro stations, Santa Anna, etc. In the old town & surrounded by a huge amount of bars, cafes & restaurants. Quiet room despite the central location. Room very clean & comfortable. Check-in carried out on-line, so quick simple access to rooms on arrival. Small, but lovely antique lift available as well as stairs. Room felt safe & secure. Have stayed here more than once before & would book again in the future.

Great location near the city centre. Although there was no staff present at the hostel, we did not have any problems to enter the building/room, etc. Really appreciate the air-conditioning and fridge to store our drinks and food.

A little outdated. Few long hairs found here and there (im a male with short hair) but it was cheap so expected.
