Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It was a scary looking area. Lots of graffiti. A bit gnarly but it was actually fine. It was quiet at night. There is only air con in the sitting room so the bed room can feel a tad too warm. There was no kettle which is a pain but we heated water in a pan. We couldn’t get a second key card which was a bit irritating.
Good location. The area looks a bit scary but it’s absolutely fine. Clean and spacious. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and an over bath shower with a mixer tap and pull up button. The shower head is mounted very high on the wall so unless you are 6’ tall it has to be used off the wall unless you want to wash hair every day. The main bathroom was very nice. There was no kettle but the kitchen was clean and functional.

2nd Bedroom single beds not very comfy. Could do some mirrors/ bedside lamps in the second bedroom. Kitchen and bathroom facilities a bit dated.
Location is everything with this apartment! 10/10. Located just off the main street above an amazing tapas restaurant we visited everyday we were there. The apartment facilities are basic but for the price we were happy.

It was a lovely stay but one of the showers was only hot for 5 minutes, we were woken up every morning to constant loud banging noises that could be heard all throughout the apartment which was extremely inconvenient after being out exploring the city all day. Coffee machine, but no coffee pods and we didn’t have enough towels at first.
Great location, had everything needed for a 4 day stay, beds were comfortable and the cleaning pack was very handy. Staff were super responsive, if I had a question I got a quick response. When I mentioned on the first night we didn’t have enough towels within 10 mins there was a knock at the door with some more towels. They let us store our luggage on arrival and departure in a neighbouring MH apartment which was very useful, saved us lugging our bags around. Overall would definitely recommend this apartment!

The smell when you open the windows - disgusting! Sleeping with windows open was not an option. some furnishings (e.g. bathroom cupboard) are due for replacement.
Cleanliness - the place was spotless. Good location - easy access to amenities and travel.

Although the apartment is not located on a crowded street, we still heard the voices of other guests or those who lived across the street. I believe it is not soundproof.
The apartment was very nice and comfortable. The location was perfect, in the heart of the city! The staff was very friendly and always ready to assist. We also had the opportunity to use the luggage storage of the nearby apartments.

Nothing much except some dishes and utensils were not very clean. Not a big deal as we rewashed before use.
Location and beds. They are very comfortable. There are 2 bathrooms and that's a bonus.

The only issue was the oven knobs were hard to figure out as they were faded. Just need to be prepared for no extras like coffee and only small amount of TP. The supermarket next door had everything we needed.
Location was amazing- very spacious and comfortable- great to have 2 bathrooms! The staff was very responsive to quick questions. Also nice to have laundry and a dry rack- showers were great!

The check in was automated and was a bit of a challenge at first .
The location was just off the main street of la rambles and so quiet , there’s a nice balcony and it looks right at the gaudi palace. The living area is spacious and there are two baths rooms

I only found the clothes drying rack as we were packing to leave! It’s hidden behind a bedroom door (not in laundry or main living areas!). Also the reception knew we were coming but when I buzzed to get in, they didn’t answer for a while, then when they did, they still didn’t open the door and I was standing outside with bags and kids feeling vulnerable. Also no fans, only AC in the living room. We did manage to cool the bedrooms by keeping the doors open, but if it was really really hot, it would not be good. They really need fans for summer.
Easy location close to Ramblas. Great large living space. It really is quite comfortable and good for a family.

We didn't like the street noise at 3:00hrs. or 4:00hrs. in the morning, we do understand that you don't have influence on what is going in the streets, but you could improve sound insulation of the windows/balcony doors. Also you could add SALT and PEPPER into a list of standard items available for all tenants.
