Nothing. It was the perfect location for sightseeing.

We had two rooms next to each other with a private terrace. This was our friends first time in Europe and it was an excellent location to tour this part of Madrid. It's very close to Gran Via Metro station and easy walk to Plaza Sol. Coffee and water kettle included.

bathroom quite small but enough for one person, my room was facing on the street so quite noisy during the night. even if the location is good, the small street doesn't look nice during the night

It was a little hard to find, at the pizza place turn around and it’s the door behind you and an elevator one floor up.

Room is really cute, bed is comfortable, bathroom is small but has everything you need. I arrived late at night and had to leave the next day, I don’t know how their location would be to sights.

The soundproofing isn’t great. You can hear people in other rooms and using the wooden staircase.

Nice contemporary room, described by the hotel as a small double but plenty of room to move around.

The staff were so loud on reception at night that it was hard to get to sleep, between slamming doors and dropping things, the noise was hard to block out.

We stayed in the place twice, separated by few days. The second time we came at around 21:00, it appeared that they had a mixup with the type of the room we ordered. The problem was fixed in the following morning and we were conpensated for the error by the Hostal, entirely by their initiative.

The property is located in the center of the city, the main touristic sites are in a short walking distance away. The rooms are kept clean. The receptionist during the day, gave us few good ideas where to visit in the city, spoke well English.

The soundproofing is non-existent, as you'll hear everything next door and above throughout the night. Sounds like they're doing construction upstairs and knocking goes until 4-5 in the morning. Its obnoxious and not all will tolerate this nuisance.

Irina at front desk is 10/10, she truly cares about the guests and makes sure you feel at home. IRINA is the star of the show here, but all staff are excellent. The central Madrid location is fantastic , as Gran Via metro is 5 mins, Puerta del Sol 12 ms, Salamanca 35 ms walking. The weekday price is an excellent value. ( not sure about weekends as Madrid tends to significantly raise rates on the weekends). The small remodeled room has all the basics and everything you really need including a small fridge , kettle, ample mirrors , hooks to hang stuff, foam bedding, new electrical lights and plugs, super tiny shared balcony and Spanish cable TV.

We needed to stay an additional night due to flight issues. We booked another room - which had balcony and was much bigger - only downside was it was at front of hotel and was a bit noisy at night. We’d recommend staying in room at back of hotel which were much quieter at expense of nice window view.

Location was ideal for our short city break. Ideal for walking around Madrid - close to Gran Via. Irina (receptionist) was friendly and brilliant in giving us good tips for locations/places to visit. We didn’t use metro once - we walked everywhere. Extremely good value for price and would certainly recommend and we’d come back and stay again.

No sleep on the first night as the room was very noisy. Moved us to a different room which was much quieter.

Location is very good, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.
