There was only 1 socket in the room and the shower was a bit far from our room as they only have a showers on the second floor.

It's a regular hostal, a little bit too old maybe. The location is perfect, in the main road. They should improve the number of showers, only the second floor has 2 showers. The staff is very kind.

Website says breakfast offered at the property- no breakfast offered at this time of the year. Central heating was off (except for Saturday night). My room was heated with an electric heater, so while it was warm, the air was so dry it hurt to breathe. Few showers at the property. I can imagine long waits if all rooms with shared bathroom are occupied in season. Sink in my room and those by all shared WC had cold tap only.

Very clean, surprisingly comfortable bed for a cheap accommodation, good price and good location. Good place for a night or two to travel on budget but perhaps not in winter.

Bed clothes a bit just (not bedspread). And I may have not read properly when booking (maybe confused by the fact that there is still a photo of the dinning room which turns out it has been closed for years), but there was no breakfast available, which wasn't very practical when you want to catch early carrilet to Nuria valley. The place is not for people with mobility issues, as the old building has no lift and to enter the small bathtub with sliding screen may be tricky.

Good location (to reach easily town centre, carrilet and train stations,...); the mountain view from the balcony and basically the bed was comfortable enough. To my request, the owner provided kindly an extra pillow.

The staff attitude (very distant and closed to any question), the place decoration, spaces and lighting made it look kinda creepy, a bit like a horror movie. The place was closed untill the very minute of the check-in (4pm), so we had to wait outside on the cold weather until then.

There was no hook to put your jacket and the light bulbs have this cold hospital light, what is not cosy at all. There is no service during the night and after checking out you cannot leave the luggage.

This is not a hotel, so do not expect such. These are traditional old rooms, some with private bathroom, some shared, and the traditional terrace all Europeans enjoyed when visting their aunt or grandmother. For a long stay in Ribes, living as a local, Fonda Vilalta is perfect, quaint, even nostalgic. The rooftop terrace is a hidden paradise.

I think that 50€/night is too much for what you get. We had just a very small room with no bathroom and a window with closed blinds. There was a toilet and shower in the hallway that felt quite exposed. Also there was no breakfast included and we didn’t feel that the building was very secure. So I think 30€/night would be a much more reasonable price.

The bed was comfortable and the location is good.

Cleanless: I have found spiderwebs. Noise: is possible to listen all that is happening in the surrounding rooms. Very basic facility, but is justified by cheap price.

Cheap price: was the cheapest solution found in the area of Val di Nuria, that was possible to be reached by public transportation. There were other solutions in same village of Ribes de Freser but were much more expensive and it was necessary the car to be reached. Ok for a 2 nights stay. Location: is in the middle of the village, near shops and restaurants and less than 10 minutes walking to the train station that connects with Barcelona and rack railway station, that connect with Val di Nuria, a beautiful mountain resort that is possible to be reached only by this public transportation starting from Ribes de Freser and have only 1 stop in the mediavial village of Queralbs.

The room was decorated with christian/religion stuff. The bed was OK but not too comfy. The front desk person leaves around 9pm. We asked for a knife to prepare some sandwiches and were told it wasn't possible and that we needed to go to a bar or restaurant to do that (what?!). People would arrive after midnight and make noise all the way up the stairs with their suitcase (3rd floor). Other rooms would also make noise and weird hours like 2, 3am. We could even hear the flushing and reloading of the tank on the shared bathrooms of each floor. We must have had very bad luck but we barely slept here.

the location was very good - next to the city centre, most basic shops and some bars within walking distance.
