Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaA bit more lighting particularly for reading would have been helpful as well as more outlets to plug in all need to run devices. Additional garbage container would be nice to have in the bedroom. Room relies on an electric heat storage device mounted by the window which was a bit tricky to operate and barely warmed the room comfortably. The washroom sink takes a bit getting used to not messing up the bathroom - small and funnel shape prone to splash water while washing.
The PR is located less than 5 minutes walk to the cathedral and the main plaza. One of the alleys from the pension connects to Rua Pregontorio which has numerous shops, cafes and bars and other services. A lavanderia is actually about a minute away and is open until 2300 H - very convenient and affordable prices given detergent is included. The PR is a 3 Storey modernized/updated stone and wood structure with a bar/cafe on the ground floor. Our room was petite but cozy and came had windows with flowers blooming in their boxes and overlooking a quiet street down below and the towers of the cathedral in the distance. AC was not a feature which may be necessary during summer months but the room came with a dehumidifier and a tower fan which we didn't need as the weather was colder. Last but not the least are the front desk staff - friendly, helpful and responsive.

MexicoGreat location, just about a block away from the cathedral ❤️ When I opened the window in the morning, I could hear the bag piper playing near the cathedral, absolutely a lovely experience.

United States of AmericaToo close to the bells. They rang every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.
So very close to the Santiago Cathedral. 4 minute walk to attend mass.

PolandThey don't guarantee room type, even though we booked way in advance, so my son and I, both 6+ feet tall, ended up sharing a double. The noise was quite loud, especially on the first floor up from the bar where some folks left kids to play on the stairs. Noise is an issue at most places we stayed, it is what it is. Overall we liked this place.
The location is perfect, the price is right, the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the facility is quite nice.

CanadaLocation to cathedral was excellent ( you do hear ringing of church bells), good size single room, large shower, big window. Laundromat just around the corner. Received a code to enter and keys to room were in an envelope on the main desk. Quite seamless.

United KingdomSuch an amazing cozy hotel in the heart of Santiago!!! Amazing location, on a quiet street just 2 minutes walking from Praza do Obradoiro. With one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The staff is super helpful and kind. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious: traditional Santiago sourdough bread, charcuterie board, freshly squeezed orange juice, various types of cereal, yogurt, warm pastries, fresh fruit,...they also have plant based milk to mix to any hot drink you'd like. A really really wonderful hotel!!! I'm so looking forward to go back next time I'm in town!

United States of AmericaI doubt that there is any solution, and it was rather interesting. There was the great accumulation of luggage in the small reception area, that of people about to check in, that of people about to check out. We were all in the same boat, Kudos to those who managed all that and kept it safe for us!
The location was marvelous for us, within easy access to the Cathedral and pleasant cafes and restaurants. Our room was compact, but very pleasant. The super aspect of our stay were the ladies who greeted us at the desk and helped us with all our travel questions.

United States of AmericaPro tip. Be careful of your fingers when turning the doorknob. It’s a little odd.
Excellent location. The hotel is located in the center of old town and is steps away from everything. Yes, the rooms are small but that should be expected when staying in an historic area. Large enough with everything we need to be comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaThere were minor factors, such as the very small bathroom sink with a faucet that didn’t reach towards the middle of the bowl, making it a challenge to wash hands without getting everything outside the bowl wet. The bathroom was tiny; again, workable for a solo traveller.
Centrally located, with a view of the cathedral spires out the quaint French windows, it was very comfortable and perfect for a solo traveller.
