No beach for swimming

Best place I’ve stayed in yet. The hotel room was big and had everything we needed. Beautiful view from the balcony to the beach, food is delicious but you have to pay. Prices are like in local restaurant. Pool was warm even though the weather was 50/50. Hotel stuff was friendly and patient, we had a great time

There was a bit of a bad smell occasionally around the pool/loungers but we put that down to the high winds blowing drain smell towards us. It wasn't that bad really, wouldn't put me off returning.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, staff very helpful and everything we needed close by. There was a small market shop with fresh bread, and games room in the hotel with pool tables, table tennis and a library, terrace bar, pool side bar and cafe and restaurant. Our room was spacious, clean, cool with air conditioning and although at the back of the hotel could still see the sea. Coffee machine was a bonus for us. Booking sun loungers was very helpful as it was busy. Nice pool, and a large jacuzzi as well. The food in the cafe and restaurants was good, a few nice eateries nearby especially the Creperia and Alecrim just a short walk along the coastal path.

The noise at nighttime from the staff. Couples with no kids were hogging the sun loungers nearest the pool even through there were adult-only areas. I’d suggest having the loungers nearest the pool for family use only (younger kids).

The only problem I saw was that they were really understaffed in the pool bar. Poor staff ran back and forth, but the waiting was still rather long sometimes. I’d urge management to acknowledge how well and how hard their staff work and that they need help!

It was an amazing aparthotel with spacious apartments that were well equipped. Cleaned every 3 days. Absolutely perfect!

The rooms looked a bit outdated, but everything was functional. My husband complained about a "smell" however I haven't noticed anything. Our balcony was tiny. Especially when I compared it to our friends' balcony (they booked the same room) - they got a very big terrace.

The rooms were big and spacious however the furniture and rooms will soon need a bit of a "facelift" :). I must point out the shower which had very good water pressure. The views were amazing, one of the best views ever! The architecture, gardens and outside area of the hotel were beautiful. Curved lines, lots of plants, beautiful ocean views...

For the cost of the holiday Santa Barbara offers great value. The staff were friendly, the place was clean and there were very reasonable restaurants nearby. If you’re looking for a quiet, low budget holiday this is a good choice.

The lifts could have been better marked with signs saying pool level or reception level or supermarket level etc. we thought the saxophonist was trying to get people up who clearly didn’t want to and his jokes were dreadful. The signs for the evening of the raffle were incorrect there was no raffle it should have said prizes not raffle.

There's no nice beach close, and as a family we booked two rooms months before and I kindly requested the rooms to be close to each other, the answer was it was due to availability, then I reminded my request a few days before, because it was a family celebration so we really cared to be together, and still the rooms were very separate, one on the 3rd floor, the other on the 8th and different wings.. You need to have a car to arrive anywhere.

The hotel is great, all the facilities inside and outside the room were amazing.

We were pleasantly surprised with many elements of this hotel, including the location (spectacular views), amenities (a wide variety of offers), staff (incredibly friendly and helpful), and the rooms (great quality, clean, well-decorated, well-equipped). We highly recommend this place, and we will certainly come back here.

The games weren’t always available. Pool tables often out of service and table tennis bats weren’t available though this was not the hotels fault. I’d also recommend a bike in the gym.

Really friendly staff. Nice pool. Great value in the bars/restaurants.
