Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe room smelled like a sewer. The beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows were the hardest and worst pillows I have ever slept on. Soulless and awful!
Nothing!! False ratings lured me here. It is nowhere near the airport! Stay in downtown Bilbao and avoid this sad, horrible and smelly hotel!

Germany- Walls are paper thin. You hear bin’s being closed, curtains being moved. - Most annoying thing: the doors cannot be closed quietly when outside of the room so expect door banging from like 6am onwards. - brekkie was very basic (Spanish cafe style. Not a buffet or bigger offer. Taste wise okayish)
Close enough to the airport. Nice style in the entrance. Very clean.

United States of AmericaIt was too basic, no amenities such as access to food and beverages. We were exhausted and there was no good way to get a quick healthy meal, so we went to bed without dinner.

We stayed to be near the airport as we had a very early flight. Wonderful location and the hotel has contracted Taxi service as a shuttle to the airport in the AM.

South Africaeverything- old, tired, and a strange set up with vast empty areas and corridors. They share the building with other businesses and a college - weird
nothing - it was inaccurately represented by Booking.com. it is in a tired building, felt like an institution with long dark corridors. the ‘dining facilities’ were like a train station cafe. Absolutely gharstly

Finlandsmelled like bar soap everywhere. The elevator doors are a safety hazzard; they don’t have motion detection when they close and almost squished me and my friends twice between the doors.

United KingdomBreakfast is minimal and you have to queue to be served, it is not self service. Bar/cafe does not seem to be open at weekend. Aircraft noise intrudes into room. Vending machines broken. Overpriced for what it is, certainly not a three star hotel.
Large comfy beds, modern bathroom, quirky 1930s converted hospital, large car park, easy to find off main road.

United States of AmericaThe air condition was shut off by the hotel and it was humid so we were hot AND dealt with constant bugs from huge flies to moths. We also wanted a hotel with a real restaurant. The one on their site is not at all what was there. it was a cafeteria basically.

United KingdomBed was far too soft. I'd expect a better quality mattress for the money. The location was also quite far from the sirport and, although I booked it because it advertused as having a shuttle service, after the booking, they notified me that the shuttle dud not run at the time I arrived (10.45 pm) so I had to oay E13 for a taxi.
Clean and nice room, if a little Spartan. V nice bathroom.

DenmarkThe night staff was extremely rude to us. We arrived at night. I had twice asked for an extra set of bedsheets through messages (which the hotel had agreed to), as we prefer having seperate bedsheets. When I asked if they had accomodated this, the reception staff was so rude to us, explaining agressively that there was a double bed. I explained both in spanish and english why we wanted an extra set, and he was so very rude to us. He started raising his voice and only agreed reluctantly. When we walked away I could clearly hear him cussing at is, which was very unprofessional. We enjoyed the hotel itself but most likely won't return as we had a bad experience with the staff.
The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, and we also enjoyed the bathtub.

United KingdomHas no facilities at all and we got ripped off with the breakfast. There was none left by 10am and €20 buys coffee and croissants. Asked to get it refunded and the Hotel refused blaming Booking.com. Booking.com as a wholesaler also did nothing about it.
Its functional and clean. Close to the airport with transfers. Town of Derio is a 10’ walk where there is food and a train station.
