Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing really. We were going to eat in their restaurant but were told that they were only providing snack food that particular day. We found a great place in town to eat

Easy to locate and in a good walkable position to centre. Very clean, staff friendly and helpful. Spacious rooms with fridge and decent tv. Cafe and restaurant on site. We didn’t use but they were always busy.

noise from other room above - although I slept with ear plugs so no real problem.
whole nights stay was very good. we dinned in the restaurant and had breakfast the next day and both offered very good choice.

It seems that as part of the renovation efforts the beds the linens seem to have been replaced. And not for the better. Seem more synthetic and not as comfortable

18e for the dog is excessive. Nothing is provided for them so it's either a cleaning or insurance cost. Tea/ coffee facilities not provided in room although there is a vending machine at reception.
Very comfortable room, large bed and great pillows. Good bar area and very reasonably priced food and drink. Good areas to exercise dog. Staff very friendly.

Arrived late and the nearest place for food was a supermarket that was a bit of a long walk.
Very spacious rooms and lovely big bath tub, perfect after a 750 K car journey. This was just a stopover but I'd stay again.

Sofa is broken. Unable to seat / rest properly. Unable to sleep comfortably due to dirty bedsheets with dirty stain. During booking the picture comes with both bathtub and shower, but we only have bathtub. The bathtub is slippery and risky. I feel that the room is small due to low ceiling height.
Location of hotel. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good.

Hotel is a bit out of town if you are planning to explore area but super for a short overnight stop! Hotel is located within a large traffic island and the entrances are a little difficult to locate, especially in the dark!
Have stayed before when driving South. Hotel is close to motorway with large car parks which are patrolled by local police. Food was good and reasonably priced although restaurant got very busy.

The room was very hot and the air conditioning didn't work. Luckily we had a balcony and so I opened the door to the balcony and that cooled the room down.
Simple, clean accommodation. Perfect for what we wanted. A stop-over on our journey back from the UK to Portugal. Good value for money.

Quite expensive compared to other hotels for the 2 dogs to stay.
Used this hotel many times. Pet friendly and always welcoming, plenty of parking right outside.

Rooms very bare. A chair would have been nice.
Great place for a stop off on Motorway passing through northern Spain. Easy parking. Nice restaurant with good service but feels like it’s on a traffic island.

18€ for a dog is excessive. Luckily the room price was very reasonable so still not excessive with the dog charge but a heavy fee even so.
Very comfortable well equipped warm room with huge bed. Free parking. Good bar and restaurant. Perfect for an overnight stop in Irun. Fourth time here.

Not so much a dislike, more a note of caution - for older English drivers like us, maybe! The location is problematic if you're new to the area. Situated very close to both motorway and main city roads, the approach from France via Google maps failed to indicate the tiny turn to the hotel. Consequently found ourselves on the Autoroute and a 5k drive back around more busy roads to find the hotel. It was worth the effort, nevertheless!
Unbelievable value for money. Head and shoulders above similarly priced or even more expensive hotels. High quality, large clean room, lovely shower, warm welcome, plenty of parking. Excellent cafe/restaurant with friendly patient staff. Would definitely recommend and return.
