Checking in was a little complicated while they were training a new person (and I was really in a hurry). In the morning I went to breakfast and showed my room number to an Asian lady. She told me that I should go to the other side. So I run back and forth between two houses. I understood later that lady meant my room being the other side, and that was totally a small thing. But still disturbing while everything else was perfect.

Hotel Lähde is a really relaxing place at an amazing situation next to Saimaa. Next time I take my room towards water. Now had a room to the street. Great noise insulation, so traffic didn't disturb at all. Personal was great with one exception.

On site parking expensive. The spa hotel is separated by a road from the main hotel where breakfast is taken. The room we had was comfortable but gave the feeling that modern facilities had been shoehorned into an old stylish hotel.

The hotel was exceptionally well placed. On the edge of the harbour but away from commercial activities.

I would like to have been able to open a window in the bedroom as I don't like air conditioning bit this was not possible. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and I thought this was very bad considering the cost of the room.

The location was excellent......right beside the lake and harbour, and within easy walking distance of the town centre, fortress and swimming area. The hotel is a beautiful old and very quaint building. The room was really nice and bright, but not very big. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was lovely and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent.

We ordered more expensive room to have a lake view. However the window was so small that had to stand 10 centimeters from the window to enjoy the view. Not worth the extra money.

We are a couple from Italy and we’ve been in this hotel from 12 to 19th of August . We really want to thanks the staff and particularly Victoria for her kindness. Hotel Lahde is very beautiful, located on the center of the city, near the lake.

Nothing, it was all lovely.

Superb location just by the harbour. Lovely to watch the sunset in the evening from the patio. Right next to the restaurants and bars but not noisy at all. Room was beautiful and very spacious. Gorgeous Smeg fridge and the bed and pilows were extremely comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The old hotel house is very well located, right in front of the lake. Bedrooms are tidy, very clean, well furnished. The bathroom is beautiful and comes with Rituals beauty products. And, the continental breakfast is delicious!

I was travelling in a different country however I do feel hotels need to be all inclusive in their offerings. The hotel is more suited to the mainland European traveller and not to UK travellers for a number of reasons. And the room I stayed in wasn’t even in the same building as reception and breakfast. The rooms were not equipped with tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast options were limited with no choice of English Tea. Twin rooms with only sockets by one of the beds and not the other. Pictures on website do not always match the rooms. Deluxe Double room booked but was a lot smaller than the one advertised in the pictures, no desk. A range of pictures should be used to show the different type of room sizes available. No lunch or restaurant options.

The property itself was lovely, it’s was quaint, clean, stunning location right by Lake Saimaa.

Very doubtful for what did we pay almost 200 EURO per night. We reserved a room with a lake view, it was a room with trees view... And parking is under the windows. Really tiny room, claustrophobic feeling, especially when windows cannot be opened. Noisy air-conditioner (not enough fresh air without it). You need to cross the street and to go to another building for reception and even FOR BREAKFAST. Breakfast gain 4/10 score. SPA is for the extra price.

Stylish Boutique Hotel side. Looks like renovation was just done. Clean room and common premises. Hotel is near from everything: city center, sightseeing.

At the entry there was some carton boxes or some equipment, not really what you expect at the boutique hotel. And arrangements in the shower were bit surprising as well.
