Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomUpon inspecting some of the dishes, I found some of them to be dirty, eg., dry food still stuck to cutlery, rings in mugs. The milk for the hot drinks was in sachets, considering the apartment has a fridge, it wouldnt have been so extra to pop a pint of fresh milk in there. The soap dispenser in the shower wasn't put on properly, and so when using it for the first time, the cover fell off, luckily I know how these things work so I was able to refix it but not well! The towel rail also became unfixed, which I found while removing my towel (I'm a little lady, I am not that rough!), I was also able to refix this, quite well. Back to the kitchen, there is a manhole to the roof/attic space. This was left open at an angle, leaving a gap of around 2 inches. This created a constant draft. As this is an old building, it is hard to keep warm at the best of times. The manhole being open was incredibly unhelpful in this endeavor. All of these things are easily rectifiable for a perfect stay!
The apartment was large and charming, and it had a fantastic view of the Botanical Garden. The kitchen itself was packed with hot drink treats. It had sufficient cutlery, plates, bowls, and mugs. It is fitted with a cooker, microwave, kettle and a fridge. Cleaning products are also provided! The bathroom had a large shower, which had fantastic water pressure, and the water ran hot, which is great for those who enjoy a water temperature above 38°c, the soap was nice, too! The room had a double and single bed, and all were incredibly comfortable with very soft sheets. It has a desk just in case you have some work to do, as well as a small dining table by the window for nights in. There's a sofa (also very comfortable) as well as a television that has your standard channels, oh and free wifi too!

United KingdomOur ‘studio apartment’ was small and dated. Although it had a crammed kitchenette area, complete with full size cooker etc, it absolutely stank of stale cooking odours that had clung to the carpet and heavy curtains. Sadly, it resembled a low-budget bed sit set up, rather than a serviced apartment.
Easy to find and close to public transport links. Plentiful breakfast.

United KingdomNormally, we aren't too picky, but when you pay a decent amount of money to stay someplace, you have some expectations that you expect to be met. The facilities were okay with some minor issues. We toured our room after we checked in and noticed that the bathroom mirror was very dusty and gross with hairs ( that were not ours), and the vanity leg was broken. The toilet wouldn't flush properly, which was frustrating. As for the shower, the hot water was limited, so we had to shower quickly to save the hot water. We read reviews prior to our stay to make sure we packed accordingly. Thankfully, we brought our own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The bathroom did have a shampoo dispenser, but no conditioner or body wash. So, make sure to bring extras with you! Also, the hairdryer in our room didn't work. Luckily, I brought my own! We requested a king-size bed originally. Upon entering our room, we had a large king-size, which was two double beds pushed together & then a single bed next to the main bed. The "king-size" bed was comfy but also uncomfortable when you moved and got stuck in the middle where the beds connected... We also noticed that their were little black hairs on the sheets and comforter, so that was a little off-putting. Lastly, the room was so chilly, and we had the heater on, but it didn't seem to work properly, so that was a shame..
This was our first time staying at the Embassy Apartments. The staff was super welcoming and friendly. They even have a button at reception that connects with the taxi companies, so all you have to do is wait in the lobby, and a bell will ring once the taxi arrives. It was so simple and stress free. We loved how open and airy the room was, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed being so close to the city center and being able to walk into town, which provided so many shops and restaurants/bars. It was perfect! We liked how cozy and quiet the neighborhood was. However, our only compliant would be the residents' next door to us who were extremely loud, very early in the morning and late at night. It seemed that they forgot they weren't the only one's staying on the upper floor.

United KingdomThere were very limited toiletries which we weren't prepared for as it was a one night stay
We booked this property as it was close to a venue we were going to and also offered parking. Parking is limited but being November it wasn't busy. We were upgraded to a lovely suite that overlooked the Kelvin River. A perfect location if you are visiting the west end of Glasgow. And it's well served by public transport. A taxi to the centre is only around £10

NetherlandsThe kitchen had no cooking supplies (oil etc.) and only very small pans so cooking was not attractive.
The room was bigger than I had expected and so was the kitchen. The keys I had to pick up at the reception and that was easy. The hotel and apartments were right across the botanic gardens and close to a metro stop.

United KingdomBathroom was very cramped and although kitchen was very well appointed , the seating area wasn’t great so i wouldn’t be bothered about staying in. Parking very limited - we preferred to use free parking near Partick and get the subway off . Despite this detail I would use the apartments again
Fantastic location close to the heart of the west end - super quiet room so if you have an itinerary with an early start you will need to set an alarm. Staff very polite
