Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was very clean and spacious. Although it was very quiet for us I can imagine it could be quite noisy during the working week as it is near the M6 motorway. The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful and efficient.

I came just me and my dog and I completely understand that she couldn't go in the restaurant but as she wasn't allowed in the bar area either and I could only order at the bar it was a little confusing as to how I could order. So I ended up getting my food delivered.

United KingdomThe only criticism is even though the hotel itself was reasonably priced the food and drinks were expensive and I feel overpriced.
Really clean and tidy nice big rooms. Booked the hotel for an overnight stay for Crufts and was only an easy 30 minute drive to NEC. Staff friendly and accommodating and an added bonus dog friendly. Also not badly priced and would happily go back.

United KingdomCar park was flooded so it was difficult to find a space without getting wet feet. I wasn't on the list for breakfast in the morning which lead to an embarrassing wait and conversation with the receptionist.
Facilities were great, room was a good size and it was clean and tidy. The staff were very professional, kind and welcoming. And breakfast was good, some buffet breakfasts can be a bit dry and sad but the food at Double Tree's was fresh and of good quality.
