Buses unreliable if you want to go anywhere and don’t want to drive. Taxis non existent.

Beautiful location. Plenty of space to park. Lovely large bedroom with big bathroom. Shower was lovely and hot and bed very comfortable Breakfast choices amazing, great bar and staff were amazing. Loved it

We only stayed one night so they may already do it but evening entertainment would be a bonus such as a quiz.

The location is remote but we wanted to be surrounded by the countryside, there is a national trust site called Longshaw, Burbage and the Eastern Moors so if you like to hike it is ideal as there are lots of beautiful walks and scenery nearby. We stayed as we booked tickets to attend the Chatsworth House firework display which was approximately a 20 minute drive away. The accommodation was clean and modern. The food was 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ i would reccomend the breakfast it exceeded our expectations (expected a buffet style) but it was freshly cooked to a high standard from a menu with plenty to choose from so hats off to the chef! The pub is family friendly and had board games to entertain us, the staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Couldn't fault it. We would come back without a doubt.

The staff all very friendly well presented and obviously care they all had a good attitude and good customer facing skills. The Food Was Exceptional we had three great courses and loved them all The building is interesting and comfortable with good space between tables and guests that’s a rare quality these days We love the place and will be back for sure 😊👍

Room was superb. Cosy, clean and big with lots of space. Pub and restaurant was really nice, with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Open fires were just what we needed after a long walk on the moors. Food was top quality and service excellent. Room was a little pricey but worth it overall.

The staff was all Amazing from the first impression at check-in and at all times during our stay, our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Every meal we had including breakfast and a couple of evening meals was Excellent . The manageress, and breakfast staff were totally Awesome and professional at all times We cant thank them enough

All the staff at the Fox House were exceptional, friendly, and pleasant . The location is fabulous, a short drive to Hathersage, which is beautiful. The food at the Fox is good. The staff certainly made the stay.
