The staff was all Amazing from the first impression at check-in and at all times during our stay, our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Every meal we had including breakfast and a couple of evening meals was Excellent . The manageress, and breakfast staff were totally Awesome and professional at all times We cant thank them enough

The bed was a little too firm for our liking.

All the staff at the Fox House were exceptional, friendly, and pleasant . The location is fabulous, a short drive to Hathersage, which is beautiful. The food at the Fox is good. The staff certainly made the stay.

After a long days walking our bags were carried to the room which was welcome. The breakfast pancakes were lovely . Comfy room .

There was no wardrobe in our room, just a short hanging rail with only drawer. Obviously no lift so if you can’t carry your luggage upstairs check there is a ground floor room available.

Hotel management was extremely helpful and very hands on. Food was excellent and well priced. Sited on the edge of Dales with wonderful walks from the hotel. Popular at weekends but there was sufficient staff to cope. Dogs and muddy boots friendly.

I think they might need to provide a fan which would help to sleep more especially in the middle of a heatwave. A lighter duvet may also be beneficial to be cooler.

Breakfast was very good quality and service excellent. Room was facing the road which is busy, the room was quite warm so the window needed to be open . Dinner was very good but you need to book as really busy

No view from room 10 (looked over bins and chefs vaping on their breaks) but not a massive issue as we were out for the evening. There were a few cobwebs around which need cleaning.

Lovely period property. Room 10 was huge and we loved the walls and beams. Had everything we needed and staff were really helpful.

Wi-Fi didn’t work in our bedroom. We also didn’t have any signal in the room!

Spacious rooms in a beautiful location. Highlight was the delicious breakfast.

We enjoyed the whole stay.

The staff greeted us immediately and helped us with getting transportation sorted. They were friendly and helpful, the room itself was clean and very nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious and certainly needed after celebrating a friends wedding. Thank you for a great stay. We will definitely be back.

We had room 1 which is next to the main road so opening the windows is out of the question making the room very stuffy. Upstairs room was occupied and very noisy most of the night due to ready floors walking about. Our room needed upgrading as it looked a little out dated.

The food and staff are fantastic, breakfast was excellent and the location is really good with lovely views.

Access to room 10 was a bit of a piggle. Not a big deal since our bags were small.
