Very clean and well presented the staff were very friendly and helpful the breakfast was excellent a lovely choice. The spa was lovely too lots of facilities to hand

The bathrooms in the room are unique no locks on door and the door was a somewhat see through glass. We were told we didn’t need book but then when going to the restaurant they said we did. Ordered room service instead

Price of food. Chewing gum on the bed frame. The toilet would not flush properly. The breakfast was good for me but the price put my partner and daughter off as they don't eat cooked breakfast or drink tea and coffee. Only wanted toast or cereal. No adjoining rooms for families. J

Only small niggles. We had to chase up pool robes which hadn’t been left in our room. The breakfast staff weren’t terribly good at remembering what we had ordered.

Lots to like! Friendly welcome and nice pool. Chilled water and milk freely available in the corridor instead of UHT milk or plastic bottles of water is an excellent idea. Welcome pack for the children was nice too. Our king sized bed was very comfortable. Also loved the log fires in the public areas.

The prices are high. The pool was busy but that may have been as it is bank holiday. The service at front desk is quite slow and often there aren't any staff on the desk

Im vegan which was stated on booking but the bedding is goose down. The restaurant is rather over priced it was nice food but jothing exceptional and it comes with an exceptional price tag. Jacuzzi is very underpowered and luke warm and as a couples trip I want to sit and chat to my partner in the sauna but it was in the changing room so single gender. I don't think it would be that difficult to rearrange doors so that couples or mixed gender friends could sit and chat when using facilities rather than be in separate rooms. Breakfast was a slightly odd process. I'm used to buffet style ordering a starter and a cooked breakfast with no sight of quantities was difficult to judge how much I'd want.

Great location just off the motorway so easily accessible, nice sized rooms with a very comfortable bed. Toiletries are provided white company so good quality. Mattress was nice and soft. Spa pool and steam room are lovely.

The spa wasn’t as much a spa as it was a children’s swimming lesson mixed in with a family swim which is scheduled for the majority of the week and it was an extra payment on arrival for the use

The staff do a good job here from behind the scenes to front on house from reception to the dinner/breakfast teams. The usage of the spa after a hard day is a must and is in good repair.

The fire in the reception could be smelt throughout the downstairs and did make me cough on occasion but sitting away from it definitely helped.

All the staff were great especially the evening barman who made sure we had our snacks with our drinks and the lovely Shona who greeted us so warmly at breakfast. There was ample choice of foods to choose from for breakfast and they were very tasty. The evening meal was great too.

The bedroom was mostly clean, except about of dust on things like the phone. We arrived for 3pm check in. Were advised the rooms weren’t ready but couldn’t say how long it would be. Given a drinks voucher and asked to sit and wait to be called. An hour later, we weren’t called so I went to check what was happening. The room had been ready for a long while but no one had remembered we were waiting. The lady I spoke to was apologetic and helpful

We enjoyed the decor and converted barn feel. Loved the open fires around. Milk and water facilities are great for reducing waste, would be better closer together.

Pillow was covered in make up and when we went to make a cup off to tea last night there wasn’t any sugar in packets there had been opened & used & cleaners haven’t put new ones in & passage floor felt damp

The swimming pool is open to the public so if you’re looking for a relaxing spa weekend then I wouldn’t suggest booking the north lakes hotel. We arrived and kids swimming lessons were on in the pool so there was a lot of screaming.

The rooms in the hotel are lovely, very clean and comfortable.
