Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomFood far too expensive & the decor needs refreshing, the 1st morning breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice but the 2nd morning was let’s just say not a good experience, the queue was very long, there was limited choice, no eggs or bacon (member of staff bought out 6 rashers of bacon) the mushrooms were hard & when we did get back to our table our hot drinks & bowls had been moved & someone else was sitting there !

United KingdomThe hotel is a little run down. The entrance windows to the hotel needed a good clean, and the small garden is useless, perhaps open out the front completely. Superficially clean bedroom, which was tired with peeling paint and carpet burns. Air conditioning noisy and rattled. Lighting poor, could do with a decent desk lamp to work with. A bottle of water would be welcome on the tea tray. Peeling back the marked bedsheet revealed pubic hairs and black bits on the mattress protector. The mattress had sunk in places and needed replacing. There was a thin layer of dust on the window ledges, skirting boards, and visible areas. Window dirty on the inside. The bathroom needed a few minor touches, such as as final clean to the tiles in the shower, and the toilet needed a thorough scrub. As a lone female, I was ignored by the female waiting staff in the morning who happily tended to the male guests. I had to approach and ask for a pot of tea in the middle of eating. Breakfast was OK but overcooked with disastrous scrambled eggs swimming in cream. The car park attached to the hotel was filthy, filled with rubbish, and felt unsafe. I would have felt worried arriving in the dark, even though it is locked between 11pm and 6am.
Warm welcome on arrival, pleasant front of house who politely, kindly, and firmly ejected someone who appeared homeless and who wandered in asking to charge their mobility scooter. Leaving staff were also pleasant, but failed to send a receipt to my email address as requested. Lobby welcoming. Hotel appeared orderly and well run.. Bedroom was spacious and bathroom relatively clean, towels fresh and a decent size, pillows comfortable.

IrelandThere was a sign up that to be more environmentally friendly towels would only be changed if left on the floor. I always approve of this as it is completely unnecessary to change towels every day. However the towels were changed every day even though we left them on rails which was disappointing.
Great location, easy walking distance to town but a quiet area. The bed was very comfortable and there was a choice of hard or soft pillow which was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful and filled our water bottles multiple times. The carpark worked well. Breakfast was great with a good choice of food. Gorgeous scrambled eggs. Also a 5 minute walk from Broomfield Tavern, probably the best pub in the world.
