We had a lovely stay, perfect in every way. The Hotel is in a great location and the staff were wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and the bed was so comfortable, slept really well.

WiFi was very slow in rooms and when we were try to pay by card at the bar, also guttering needs clearing and fixing when it rained on last night we were there, it was like a waterfall out side the window very early in the morning, told reception that morning on leaving and hopefully they fixed the problem for the next guest, other than that excellent stay, cleanliness, food and staff.

Cleanliness, and nice and warm every where we went in the hotel, staff very accommodating.

There were no dislikes at all.

The room was a good size with plenty of storage, bathroom a good size, toiletries nice, towels a good size and plenty of hot water. Dining room excellent presentation of tables really nice, breakfast and evening meals were exceptional variety, quality and presentation outstanding. The bar was comfortable and nice to have a drink before evening meal. The hotel was lovely and warm at all times and the staff were exceptional.

To be honest the hotel decor is very outdated but that didn't impact on the overall stay. The TV was a bit small and the reception rather hit and miss due to the weather

Breakfast was very good and nice to have waitress service. There was plenty of choice for the evening meal and the food was good. My room was very nice indeed. Parking was a bonus

Booked an evening meal, it said residents deal £30 for a 3 course meal, ordered 2 x meals including steak but then had to pay extra for chips and then was charged extra for the steak which worked out £24 over the deal. Was told the steak was a supplement charge. But the food is exceptional!

All the staff were so helpful and friendly. We had a call from the hotel the night before we were due to ask if there was anything we would need before our stay. I thought this was really nice. Breakfast was nice and the staff brought you everything. We were really looked after. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again.

The bathroom facilities were adequate but not up to the standard normally experienced in a 4 star hotel. I found the shower a bit difficult to operate and there weren't enough surfaces to put toilet bags etc. Everything was clean and well maintained however and the room was comfortable.

Outstanding staff - the friendliest, most helpful staff ever (and we have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years). Nothing was too much trouble and we really felt that we were welcome guests. Please convey this information back to them. We also enjoyed our meals (I loved the guinea fowl) and the lovely dining room and table settings.

The Hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff were all so pleasant and extremely helpful. We booked with just breakfast which was amazing, choice of food excellent and the standard showed with the pristine White linen tablecloths and silver utensils. We definitely will be staying again in the not too distant future.

The hotel is fabulous. Just a little bit too far to walk to town. We would have no hesitation in staying there again. I was so lovely and good value for money.

Nothing it is a super hotel

Everything staff are lovely polite presentable happy and friendly. Hotel s good location in quiet area but easy reach to main part of whitby. Food is lovely dining room is beautiful lovely set out, table service, rooms are comfy spacious warm and clean.free car park. It is our first time staying here but definitely be back thankyou to all concerned.

The food and service was excellent. The hotel and rooms were immaculately clean, all the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

It was a bit far out for walking to the main area. There was no lift.

It had parking which is a plus in Whitby. The staff were very friendly. The room was really good. The breakfast and evening meal were very good. Everything was brought to the table so felt very relaxed.

We were on the very top floor and the shower wasn't very powerful. Other than that had nothing to complain about.

Lovely traditional hotel. Spotlessly clean . Staff were all lovely, especially Alison in the restaurant, who couldn't do enough for you. Would definitely stay again.
