At the hotel there were many staff for whom English isn't their first language, so this did cause some problems at times.

Couldn't be closer to the Thames if they tried so the river pathway walk was right next door. The town was very clean and we really enjoyed the Riverside scenery and coffee shops.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The room being set straight onto the courtyard was a surprise but absolutely fine as it didn't rain when I needed to walk to the restaurant. Parking in Henley is a challenge, but the station is just a 5 minute walk away and you are able to book parking there overnight.

Everything was great! The only thing I didn't like was leaving.

Ideally located across the road from the river, and at the edge of the shopping strip, this hotel is superbly decorated, spotlessly clean and the staff cannot do enough to oblige. The rooms are large and have comfortable furniture and beds. Bathrooms are clean, and the shower had great water pressure. Downstairs, the bar is cosy and the drawing room delightful. Outside is a courtyard with tables and chairs.... with heaters and blankets when it is chilly. I look forward to staying here again next time.

There was a small issue with the rooms when my guests arrived but it was soon resolved. I felt that at times it was difficult to find anyone on the reception desk.

Our every needs were met with extremely manerable polite and well trained staff. The rooms were so comfortable and clean. Absolutely fabulous.

Toilet handle flushing issues. Reported and fixed right away. Leakage on morning of departure but reported at same time.

The politeness and courteousness of the staff were exceptional. Every member of staff we met were extremely welcoming and helpful. It was my Father’s 80th birthday on 18th March. The food at lunch that day was delicious and Nickill (I hope that is the correct spelling) and the team in the restaurant were wonderfully attentive and polite. Service fantastic. Breakfast the morning after also great. Bedrooms were so clean and comfortable.

Some may find the mild quirkiness of the main building layout to be a challenge if mobility is restricted - the main building is a period house with several staircases, otherwise, there is very little to dislike.

A superbly renovated and decorated hotel that offers modern conveniences within a characterful historic building and a more recent wing overlooking Henley Rowing Club on the Thames. The thoughtful design of the spacious main wing room I booked provided everything one requires for a business trip or a longer pleasure stay: Ample built-in wardrobes, dressing table, espresso machine, and many convenient sockets to plug in electricals, computers etc. Every socket has a twin USB charger - great for phones and the many gadgets I carry with me. The bed was large and supremely comfortable, the furnishings period and tasteful, and the bathroom fitted with quality fittings, i.e. Burlington period style bath and taps. The standard of finish and excellent ergonomics - no stretching for towels or fumbling to find light switches - shows considerable thought went into the design. Dressing gowns, towels and linen were crisp, clean and a joy to use after a long journey. Breakfast and lunch were excellent and very reasonably priced, £12.50 and £16.50 respectively. Most notably, the service is outstanding - the staff were accommodating and efficient, and no request was too great an ask. Truly 5* at 3*/4* prices. Exceptional value for money.

Stayed for 2 nights, and could not have been more pleased with the hotel, and it was better than expected. The staff was nice and welcoming from the moment we arrived and happy to help with anything. The breakfast was really nice and definitely value for money and happy to have it included in the stay. Would highly recommend the Relais for anyone staying in Henley, and would gladly come back and stay again.
