The room whilst large enough it was a bit tiered and dated. Parking was not available on site however secure parking was available off site at no additional charge.

I had booked a superior room with a sea view and paid more for it, only to find my sister's standard room was exactly the same, maybe a tiny wee bit smaller but everything else was the same. The toilets were often locked and the reception wasn't always manned properly, so we had to wait to collect our room keys or get the key for the toilet. Food in the restaurant was very disappointing. The breakfast was fine.

The view was lovely and being near to the shops was good too.

The tub was a bit hard to get in and out of, but the water was warm enough Hot breakfasts were nice, if a bit salty. The rooms were fairly spartan, but about normal for a 3-star hotel.

No washcloth, but I think that’s a Scottish thing. There was plenty of toilet paper, the bedding was comfortable. Room had a lovely view. The breakfast was lovely. Hot breakfast included in price! The vegetarian highlander breakfast was yummy; the meaty one was adequate. Alison took great care of us both mornings! This hotel is in an excellent location. One flight of stairs down to the pier and just a hop, skip, and a jump from “the lump” for great views.

The mattress seemed very old, it was not comfortable at all. And nothing against the hotel, but most places in Portree were not open until April 1.

We loved the customer service, everyone was very friendly and helpful! Highland hospitality at its best. Good location to travel Skye! The view from the room was amazing.

Old building in need of some updating. Room was ok with a restricted view over the water. Pillows thin and the duvet the same... Felt like cardboard in my view! £218 for 2 nights stay midweek is far too much for what you get. I've paid less for a country mansion with a swimming pool.

The noise from the street, from deliveries, our room faced onto the main road.

Great location in the middle of Portree. Friendly welcoming staff. Lovely hot shower. Warm bedrooms. Worth it to get a room with sea view. Breakfast was excellent.

Breakfast was poor on the first morning of our stay. Cooked breakfast overcooked and like it had been just kept warm for a long time. Scrambled eggs cold although reheated when waiting staff informed, who were apologetic. Coffee also not very hot. Breakfast much improved the following morning, ? different chef. Although waiting staff were pleasant in manner they did appear disorganised. Shown to dining table on arrival however no explanation as to how system worked ie self service for breakfast buffet. Also did not clear used crockery and cutlery before serving cooked breakfasts.

Full highland breakfast was lukewarm even near the start of service. Potato scone was solid as if it was carried over from previous day. No caffeinated coffee sachets to refill room supply. The hotel should give a map location/What 3 Words reference for the car park as it’s not obvious where it was at all.

The shower wasn’t working very well, as it went from hot to cold within seconds. Besides that, it was a pleasant experience.

Good price with a good location. The hotel is a little bit old, but not much different from the rest of Scotland. The breakfast was really good and had several options. The room view was adorable as well.
