I loved my stay at The Sun Hotel & Bar. I was in a luxury double room, with a wonderful ensuite bathroom. The decor and lighting was beautiful, making me feel very relaxed and cosy. The amenities were perfect, including a power shower, iron and hair dryer, as well as the biscuit treats, along with the coffee and tea supplies. Great value for money too! The breakfast was of such high quality, delicious! All the staff were friendly, polite, good humour, and very professional. I will most certainly return again!

the breakfast options were great foodwise, but they did not have a coffee machine for proper espresso, cappuccino etc.

Friendly & attentative staff. The hotel was clean and very well presented, not to mention it was very comfortable. Pub is a traditional british pub with a great selection of real ales and a great atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I really enjoyed my time away in a city I know well and love the hotel was a sanctuary for me when needed. I found room a tad too small but facilties where good. It wasn't my usual type of accommodation but needed to in easy reach of friends. The restaurant fabulous and food I loved. My only suggestion is few more home comforts in room teas etc where empty I was too tired to seek out these things from the bar. Thank you for making me and Hugo welcome.

My wife and I had called in to the Sun Inn for a drink on the outbound part of a long weekend and decided to switch to the Sun Inn on the rerun leg of our trip. The atmosphere and service were the determining factors but enjoyed a great evening meal and an excellent breakfast.

This is central Lancaster, yet it's in a quiet spot beneath the castle, and near the bus station. There's a bar/restaurant below with great food (including smashing breakfasts and enormous pies). Everything we were looking for - we'll be back! Parking nearby in town car parks - get the RingGo app on your phone before you leave home to make it easy.

I think that the pub and inn have lots of local charm. It is fun to stay around there. The bed was also extremely comfortable. I look forward to coming back in the future!

Not much, there was a slight draft making a slight noise from the door but upon opening the curtains it turned out there was a smash in one of the outer windows so we reported this to staff upon check out.

Great location, lovely staff. We had dinner at the pub/restaurant downstairs and it was delicious. Reasonable prices, great walking distance to our gig. Really enjoyed our stay

After a long drive finding the Hotel was simple but no parking but very close by was a large car park close enough to carry overnight bags or if suitcases drop off before parking nearby. A pleasant stay and would have no problem staying again if space available. Nice keep up the standard you have and you can't go wrong.
