Children in the accommodation - did not bother us but somewhere I read no children in booking.com policy

Great place for visiting Birmingham University. Peter Scott House does this well. Room furnishings good, bathroom ok, bed comfortable, kettle and ironing board a great addition. Parked in the main hotel 2 mins walk which was free of charge for 24 hours - just type in reg at the check in - great bar food ( a little expensive ) and breakfast which was included in the price was amazing - all you can eat smoked salmon and scrambled eggs plus cooked breakfast - but you could have cereal, continental , fresh fruit etc . Staff really friendly. Will stay again.

The restaurant menu was far too expensive and exclusive. Nobody was really interested in the fancy food. It should have been much more basic.

Duvet -10.5 tog - too hot!

Peaceful; no traffic noise and, even though fully booked, no noise from other guests. The crisp white bed linen and towels make it feel really clean.

An excellent location for access to B'ham Uni campus. Breakfast was over the road in another centre/conference hotel. Rooms spacious and reasonably well equipped.

the bathroom unfortunately was very poor indeed; the light over the basin did not work and there was a gaping plug hole with no protective cover. The shower was difficult to use, not knowing which was cold water and which was hot water. The bathroom regrettably pulled down the score as everything else was fine.

Nice bedroom overlooking sports field, coffee/tea facilities in bedroom

The only problem was that there were some strange creaks and bangs during the night, which I couldn't put my finger on. I don't know if it was to do with the plumbing or maybe some repair which was still settling down. It wasn't enough to wake me up but once I was awake, it made it difficult to get back to sleep.

Almost everything. It was in a nice peaceful location, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was good, if a little expensive.

Breakfast was expensive but, as it was a buffet, I could make the most of it. It was quite a long way to reception/breakfast - describing it as "opposite Peter Scott House" was a bit of a misnomer. It wasn't an issue for me because I stayed only one night and have no mobility issues.

The room was large and comfortable. The shower room was rather small. It wasn't an issue for me because I stayed only one night. The location was great, on the university campus next to the building in which my meeting was held.

Breakfast was very expensive at £13.50 per day pre booked. I got a letter under the door which woke me up to ask me to tell me my fee for breakfast was outstanding. When I wasn’t having the second mornings breakfast.

So close to the sports centre and free parking not far away.

No problems at all. Everything went smoothly, once i got aver the initial shock I was staying on a University Campus.

Everything was great. However, i was a little shocked when i found out that the hotel and its subsequent rooms are actually on Birmingham University campus. That was never mentioned prior to booking. There is an on-site restaurant and bar available for food and refreshments. The area around the hotel is spotlessly clean. If you are not staying in the actual Edgbaston hotel, then the rooms for Peter Scotts hotel are situated across the road. It is literally a two minute walk. Additionally, you will need to park your car in the multi-storey car park, using the ground floor only. Then register your reg at the reception area in the hotel. If you park in the Peter Scott car park there is a fee to be paid.

I missed the breakfasts as I was in Birmingham for treatment and had to fast overnight and spend the following night in the hospital. This was a shame!

I travelled up with my mother. She is elderly. The room we were given was two flights up and the lift was not working. We were moved to adjacent accommodation at no cost. The staff were super friendly. The new room was much better, bigger and comfier. We were thankful for this.
