Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsIt was a bit over priced. 8 euros for a bottle of water that you would get from the supermarket for 93 cents. Not many of the rooms have a balcony so you can’t stay in your room and chill out.
Location was great and the staff were really friendly. There were some nice seats at the front of the hotel to chill out at. Hotel was super clean and nicely decorated.

United KingdomSome facilities not available as I travelled 'out of season' - this would have been good to know before booking. No responses to message prior to arrival was frustrating.
Really great room - received free upgrade on arrival. Pool and location were great. Staff at hotel were nice & helpful, especially when ferry was cancelled.

IrelandA couple of the staff were less than friendly - guy handing out the pool towels claimed that we hadn't returned our towels the previous day when we had & reception wanted to charge us for a bottle of water when the guy who showed us to our room told us it was complimentary. Small but annoying little things when we were paying top dollar for the room.
Wonderful views from our room, breakfast was excellent and location very good. The bar was also excellent for a late night drink.

United States of AmericaBeautiful hotel in an excellent location. It's walking distance from the ferry (on a nice path along the water). When you arrive via ferry, someone with a sign from the hotel will be waiting to take your luggage, as you continue walking along the path to the hotel. It has multiple pools, excellent views, rooms were clean, overall a really great experience.

PortugalThe reception staff were very unpleasant. As soon as we arrived to the hotel by car, the staff rushed us to take the bags out of the car even trying to open our boot. The only that were actually nice were the cleaning ladies.
We liked the room and the location of the hotel as it was short walk to the city center

IrelandI stayed in the second wing. The single lift that this wing uses has to be looked at , it should have a sign on it on how to open the door from the inside, I rescued another guest who got stuck in it as she didn't know she had to push the door out by herself (there is no sign on the lift). I kinda had the same problem but figured it out after 5 seconds . It's a very old Otis lift , it must be from the 1970s or 1980s. It belongs in a museum now.
I loved the pool facilities, big slide was fun. The closeness to a little beach , and the coastal walkway into the town of Hvar. Food provided was decent also.

United States of AmericaYou had to pay the hotel $15 euros every time you used (the so called public beach chairs). If it was a public beach then why is the hotel charging and not the public location? I really don’t understand that at all. Every hotel that I stayed at had free beach chairs. The girl at the counter rolled her eyes at me after I came back from a 20 min walk to make sure my luggage was going to be departing with me at the correct time to meet the ferry. I was traveling solo and really didn’t appreciate her attitude-like I was bothering her.
Beautiful place! It was located right off the beach. Room was very relaxing and nice looking. Bed was comfortable.

United KingdomOur first room had stains on the carpet and it was tiny. We complained and they moved us to a bigger room and one without stains on the carpet.
The pool and the staff were lovely. Bed was super comfy. Great food for breakfast and dinner. Really close to town. It was quiet at the hotel as it was near the end of season, think we'd have found it very busy during peak season.

United KingdomI think the pictures can be a little misleading especially the pool size. The pool somehow was freezing cold even though it was boiling! I think the hotel is looking a tired in parts and needs some maintenance. For example, there used to be a climbing wall and volleyball area which has been abandoned (with some of the climbing rocks being taken off at the bottom so it is out of use but the rest left, and where removed the marks have not been painted over). The hallways also had some peeling and scraped wallpaper and the lights behind the numbers on the hotel doors had come away slightly. Part of the stairs had cracked and come away on the way up to the restaurant. We paid for a balcony but didn’t want to sit on it because it was right next to a kind of busy road with cables etc. Our curtains didn’t fully close which meant a big chink of light came through in the morning. We didn’t have a bath mat left for us 3/5 days. Staff round the pool were ok, not majorly friendly. The first day we got there, we couldn’t even find a sun bed and it was really loud. I think this was because a load of people had just visited the hotel and weren’t actual guest staying there. All in all, not terrible, but for the price we paid for 5 nights we were a bit disappointed.
The location is really handy and it’s great that breakfast is included which is really flexible times (7-11am).

United KingdomKnowledge of the case transfer service or how to get there. I went up and down about 200 steps to arrive in the pool area to face more steps and a lift, with 60 kg of luggage for what looked like an easy journey on the map. If I'd have known about the luggage service would have been a great help.

United States of AmericaThe room was VERY tiny. I never could catch the right time to shower with hot water and the AC was locked at certain temperature and i could not bring it to a comfortable temperature. My room was very close to the stairs and the elevators so it was very loud at all times. both late night when people came home and very very early in the mornings.
The room had a big bed but thats it.

AustraliaOur room was tired and there were many stains on the carpet …brown and red blotches that were not pretty. Two of my dresses also went missing/lost in the room/transit. I contacted Amfora through booking.com as there is no email and no one answers the provided phone number. No response to date..We also managed to lock ourselves out of our room on the balcony…we had to be rescued by yelling out to guests on another balcony…no one at the resort answered the phone when we tried to call and we were told to be more careful once rescued ..there is no warning that you can’t close the doors to the balcony without locking yourself out!
The pool was fantastic…porters were fantastic and ensured your luggage was brought from the ferry to your room and then back to the ferry! The breakfast was great! The staff serving in the bar and restaurant also fantastic!
