You need strong legs to walk up the many steps before reaching the guesthouse . It is a geographical landscape problem applicable to many guesthouses located in that vicinity. The WiFi signal only works better in bedroom and terrace but not the living hall.

The host, especially her young granddaughter, Stella is superbly helpful and friendly. She is one of the main reasons we like our stay there. And of course, the view from the terrace was spectacular.

It was really hrad to find the parking space as there is no sign at all.

The view from terrace was amazing, they have a nice dog and cats :) People were also nice.

Not hot water, room was dirty (food left from previous occupant). Directions from booking.com site are incorrect and out the property a fair distance away from its true location. I messaged the owner for directions and am still waiting for a response. Luckily a local pointed me in the right direction as I never would have found it otherwise. The property is at the very top of the town up literally 100’s of steps so don’t stay here unless you are prepared for steep steps as it wouldn’t be accessible with a suitcase

It has a very beautiful terrace view. Overall it was clean but could have been a little cleaner. The owner of the house should definitely add the directions to the site because when navigated with navigation, it takes you to the stairs. Climbing the stairs is very tiring.

Basic kitchen but has enough to cook a meal. Lots of steps up to the apartment but not as bad as the other reviews make them out to be!

Basic facilities but working A/C and comfy bed with lovely views over Dubrovnik. Lovely owner who is very chatty and accommodating. Absolutely fine for a couple of nights. Very cute dog called Lucky. Tortoises and lots of cats too! Would stay here again.

The aircon in my very small room was hot, not cold. 500 stairs down and up to the accommodation was not mentioned when booking. My single room was a bed inside a laundry that was cleared out, very, very small.

I didn't realise it was up all those stairs when I booked. It smelt so badly of cigarettes, I couldn't sleep when all the linen smelt like that. I was never shown the terrace patio like in the photos my room only had a tiny balcony. The view was okay, its a shame there is high rise apartment buildings in the way of the sunset. It was just run down, dusty and the towels provided were so old and crunchy.

The location creates the amazing view from the balcony. The host is likeable and nice lady. Very peaceful and authentic Croatian neighborhood. Not very far from the old town (if you don't mind lots of stairs). But have in mind that the apartment is really old, not very clean and three rooms are sharing one bathroom.

Pleasant walk to old city and to Port with great views, ( up to accomodation steep but ok if not carrying suitcase) apparently bus stop near but easier to use steps from port ferry terminal) City lights and deck views at accomodation spectacular at night.

I was given a single room that was a cupboard with a single bed stuck in in it and very dark. I refused to accept the room and was given a double room. It was very basic. Had to share bathroom and toilet. It was too far away from old town and lots of steps to manage. Not impressed at all. Would not recommend

There is nothing to say you are there . From the harbour it is a very strenuous climb culminating in 140 step staircase . Therre is no sign to say this is the Guest House Barbara nothing .So you think that you have passed it and go back down only to find that Google tells you to go back up , and still nothing . A taxi driver eventually helped us to find it with the use of his friend who lived in the area .

The contact with the host/agency was poor. I informed them about my arrival hours a few times through booking but didn't get any reply/confirmation that they expected me. It was very stressful as I was arriving in Dubrovnik at 22 and didn't know if I have a place to stay. The single room is 6m2!!! (I missed this info, but yeah it's in the description). But you have info about the air conditioning available, which is not true. You have only a small fan, that does nothing. You can just imagine how it smells during summer in a 6m2 room without proper ventilation. The light is somehow connected to the kitchen. If your neighbors turn off the light in the kitchen, you don't have it either in the room, which is just ridiculous. The kitchen and bathroom were not very clean but ok. There are a few rooms, maybe they are in better condition, but the single room is just not suitable for tourists, seems like an old toilet where they put a bed and a wardrobe.

My arranged transfer from the airport never came so i had to get private taxi the room was like a jail cell and smelt like an ashtray everything was so outdated i kept waking up with bites also, when i went to pick up a sandwich rapper I had put down about 2 mins before it was infested with red ants so that explains the bites the air con didnt work and things were generally just grubby smelly and stuffy

My partner and I had a lovely time at guest house Barbara! The hosts are lovely people and the accommodation is exactly as advertised. Very confortable place to stay and the views are unbelievable. Amazing value for money!
