Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

It was one of the best accomodations we had in Croatia (we also visited Dubrovnik and Split). The service was phenomenal, the host amazing, excellent location and the room is completely renovated and HUGE! We were quite delighted with our stay. We hope we could've stay longer

Location was perfect. Outdoor table and chairs outside apartment were perfect as we could enjoy our meals there. We were meet by the host who was very accommodating and insightful. Maps and sit.es to visit were prepared in highlighted by him

The location was great! The property was less than a 3 minute walk to the main area of Hvar. Room was comfortable, clean and good value. The hosts were very helpful as well!

There was a bit of a musty smell in the entrance lobby but not in the apartment. Overall nothing really to dislike about this place!
Really great central location, the hosts were helpful and met us at the cathedral to guide us to the room and help with bags. Lovro spent time giving us helpful information and hints and was extremely friendly and welcoming - great first impression! Fab to have a little kitchenette and seating in the apartment. Bed was one of the comfier beds we’ve had in Europe (typically beds are hard). Nice and modern room and bathroom

Property is quite dark with limited light due to small windows.
The property is in a wonderful location. Owner was very accommodating for a late check out. Apartment was well stocked with what we needed for fridge and kitchen.

The sound of the bell may bother those who are more sensitive to noise, but it didn't bother me. With the windows closed, noise can be greatly reduced.
The Kampanel apartment is very comfortable and clean. It has all the necessary amenities for a short stay. The apartment is very well located and with easy access to places like supermarkets, restaurants and tourist attractions. Bero is a good host and welcomed us to open the apartment and give us some instructions and tips about the city.

Nothing, however the wifi wasn't accessible in the bedroom and wasn't very strong but wasn't a big issue at all as we could just go sit in the kitchen if we needed wifi.
The host was super friendly and helped us with our massive bags. He reccomended good places to visit and eat and he was always willing to help and quick to respond. The room itself was perfect, great airconditioning, super clean, spacious, roomy and comfortable. The location was absolutely excellent - in the center of everything but not noisy at all. Would definitely stay here again! Best stay in Croatia thus far!

TV wasn’t working in 1 apt. They tried to fix it but didn’t work and gave up trying. Also parking is expensive and confusing but not owners fault. Once we parked, we didn’t move car until we left. We walked everywhere cause everything was close
They owner meet us to take us to the apartment. He explained everything we needed to know about the town, places, where to go, what you can do etc
