Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bed was two singles pushed together and one of us had to sleep in a hole.
The location is incredible!! Worth the price. Unfortunately the room is tiny! Just a bed and barely a bathroom. The common room is small but the bigger issue is it doesn't just come nncryhe rooms, you have to go through it to get to your room. So if you are doing anything in there when the other guests come in they are right in the middle of everything. It is awkward for both parties I think. This is less than having a private room and wat more like having roommates. If you have good ones, fun ones or absent ones (like ours) the place is amazing! If the other guests were like us, spending some time in the common room or cooking at all it would not have been a good experience. We were there for the Christmas Market and I cant say enough about not just how central the location is but also how charming!!

The only disadvantage was that there was no door to the bathroom.just a big curtain separating the bathroom from the rest of the room.i think it needs to be delt with......
The location was almost perfect just 5 minutes walk from jelacic square,the main square .there was also across the street tram stop and also the funicular ,an excellent way to climb to upper town without having to use the stairs....the room was clean,tidy,easy way to check in and check out.wifi excellent.

Nothing to really complain about
The location, the shared kitchen and the friendly neighbourhood! Our host was lovely and even let us stay an hour past check out to accommodate our flight time!

The place was smelly when we entered, luckily opening the window for the evening helped.
The location was great and the bed was comfortable. There were provided booklets about Zagreb even though outdated.

A little hard to find, in a courtyard with another building, signage could have been better (only see the sign once you climb stairwell, one of three in the courtyard).
Walking distance to centre, where all restaurants and shops are. Bed was comfortable with good linen. Room was clean and modern. It was quiet.

There are no door for bathroom, only a curtain separating the room and the bathroom.

A door for the toilet would have been better and an indication that the iron gate is on the left when you enter the hall. But these are just very minor things. Amazing stay overall.
I really loved how close it was to Most of the attractions that you could walk to each and every place. It’s also located very closer to amazing bakeries and eateries. The apartment had everything you needed and Sandra was really amazing. I wanted to leave my bags somewhere when I went strolling and she sorted it out for me.

check in was a little tricky. tv not working
Great location, super close to the main square. The bed was firm but comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We had a great stay.

Small pillows, squeaky bed, an odd smell from the bathroom. No door on bathroom as reviews have mentioned, though still very weird. Window blinds doesn't fully cover the window that is facing directly across other apartments. Could not get TV to work, could be user error. But nothing major.
Great central location, close to centre everything is walking distance. Hassle free check in and out with clear instructions, very convenient. Cute chandelier decor. Hair dryer provided, thank you.
