Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Only a few little things that could have improved it - would have been good to have mosquito nets on the indoor/outdoor space or ability to close door to it and for hot tub to have been cleaned regularly so it was usable but we didn't book it for that so it wasn't important to us
Liked the apartment it was very clean and nicely decorated - quite modern. It was also lovely to have our own garden area which was very large and as we were visiting at a very busy time it was a very peaceful place to spend time away from crowds. Generally very relaxing. Had own sun loungers for our apartment which were really good

At the time of our booking the free parking was still advertised, which is also why we booked the apartment. Parking was not provided, and there was also no free local parking during our stay (we parked on the side of the road and received a fine - as all other cars that were parked there). The only option is the paid parking lot, which costs 100 kunas/day, so this can sum up quite a bit. In the meantime, however, the parking is not advertised anymore. Considering the relatively high price for the apartment, the value for money is average at best, especially due to the additional parking fees.
The apartment is comfortable and has above average facilities for the standards at the location. At the beginning of our stay it was clean, we were also provided with adequate towels. The location is very central and quiet at the same time and is within walking distance to the beach and the village centre.

On the online site a jacuzzi in the garden was promoted and we were really looking forward to using that. Unfortunately when we got there, jacuzzi was empty and closed, when asking about it, they said they forgot to put it off the online site and that it is not available at the moment. That was a big disappointment for us. Second thing was parking. We arrived by car and it said on the site a parking is available. But it is not private parking but rather a public one so it was almost never available and we had to park our car in a near public parking and pay for daily tickets. One last thing that bothered us a little, but not much. On the online site it is written the bad linen is changed every 5 days. We stayed there for about 10 days, but the linen was not changed. It would be very welcomed since it was a very hot period also at nights.
Location is great, very near to the beach and the town center. Also the garden is really lovely and cozy, we enjoyed spending time there. The rooms were clean and tidy. The lady of the house was very kind and their little dog is the cutest.
