found a bit strange not providing slippers in a four star wellness hotel

hotel is within walking distance from village center. nicely rebuilt property in a big, well kept park. was good to have a walk there after checking in. stayed in castle building, room was spacy and confy, well equipped and kept spotlessly clean, both dinner and breakfast are okay

All in all ,our stay was plesent enought, but there are some issues that ,in our opinion ,need improvement. The half board booking was the only option and we were disappointed with dinner offering variety ,especially for those who don't eat meat , like me. The air conditioning could not cool enough but if you want to increase it you need to call a maintenance and most of them don't speak English . And it seems to me that it's necessary to mention on Booking that there is no shallow water in the pools , so it's not convenient for families with a kids.

Very nice atmosphere around the hotel ,green and quiet location. Well preserved and nice decorated historical mane building , with excellent spa and swimming pool . There was good variety of food for breakfast in the beautiful restaurant inside or on the porch outside.

The room was not like in the info text. We booked double room with balcony, 44 m2, it was max. 25-30 m2. No other room or separate bath room as in the photos on Booking’s site. There was a door but it was locked. Also info text says that slippers in the room are included. They were not. Receptionist (quite rude person) told us that them are not included in our room type. Ok, after arguing a while we finally got them. The waitresses didn’ actually speak english. All this left a little bad taste to my mouth.

Real authenticity and greater attention to detail would improve the experience. I would recommend looking at the immaculate job done within the Pestana Pousadas de Portugal chain for inspiration.

Because of the energy saving it was some Celsius grade colder than it should be, it was especially annoying the water in the swimming pool. I understand the saving, but I think if I pay this amount, I shoud feel at least comfortable

The room with a great view, the bed very comfortable, the sauna in the bathroom was relaxing. The staff was very kind, helped us clarify a parking penalty, speaking in Hungarian with the authorities.

A single but serious negative: 15% service charge for all drink orders, which is not voluntary and cannot be cancelled by the guest. Further to that it does not directly go to the person who served us. I made a recommendation to the hotel directly to abolish this practice. If they do so then I have no hesitation to give 10/10 mark.

Beautiful building, good location. The receptionists are very helpful with a smile. Waiters (particularly László Herczeg and Miklós - unfortunately don't remember his surname) are fantastic. Spa staff are great with a smile.

Even though I liked the food, it was very salty, I like it that way, but it might be a problem for someone else. I found the beds to be very uncomfortable, because the mattresses are with springs, and you could feel one in every part of your body.

The wellness center is well equipped, the rooms are very nice and they actually look better in real life than on the pictures. You get a great variety of food both for breakfast and dinner, there are many cooked dishes you can chose from. I suggest you take a room in the castle rather than in the manor house, because the wellness center is in the castle and you have to walk a little bit, if your room is in the manor house. The garden is well maintained, they are always working on it to keep is clean and neat.
