Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The breakfast area is to small for the amount of guests that Hotel can host. There is only one big table with food selection and only two slow working coffee machines. Thus the area get very crouded. As of the room: it was very spacious but bit off and it looks like the rooms were not refreshed for a long while.
Great location very close to main streets and next to the Opera House. And despite the location, it is very quiet in rooms. Very friendly staff, open to help whenever needed and with great attitude towards guests. Tasty breakfast. Good size of the room. For sure that is a place where I could stay when next time in Budapest.

The making up of the beds in the mornings seemed rushed as the beds weren't properly made up.
Location is very central and great for exploring the city. Room was comfortable and a nice size. Staff in reception were extremely helpful.

The fact that we had to book a bit more than the entire price of room as a deposited with a credit card. I assume that the hotel had to inform us about it at least before our arrival. Imagine if one had no credit card with him on the arrival day. This part was a bit uncomfortable.
The location was great! The rooms were clean.

Iron was NOT available on the 1st day of stay and it was really embarrassing and shameful to wear the shirt... very long time waiting for reception

The rooms weren’t cleaned properly and the air conditioner was not working so the rooms were stuffy. The toiletries were not refilled. Didn’t like that they had one bottle for body wash, shampoo etc.
Loved the location of the property, really convenient and is exactly in the centre so getting anywhere is just so convenient

- It's our first time at Budapest, and the location of the hotel is perfect, 5 minutes walking from the metro station and 12 minutes walking from St.Stephen's basilica (Church). what really make us not using the 72 hours transportation tickets. - We tried the breakfast in the last day, and it was good enough, everything was available and tasty. - The room was big and clean and quiet, and the wifi was available. - Staff: was really nice and helpful, specially Sebastian he is really nice and professional.

The elevator was a little far from the hotel entrance and our room was some distance from the elevator.
Breakfast started early (6:30am) and was very good with a nice selection of breads, meats, cheeses, eggs, veggies, cereal, dried fruits, coffees. Location of hotel was very good, across the street from Opera House and steps from one of the Hop On Hop Off stops. A little farther walk, though, from the main street with the Basilica, etc. Reception staff were all very helpful, especially manager, Sebastian, who was so friendly and gave us helpful information. Bar had a nice happy hour with reasonable prices and bartender was very congenial. Wished they had appetizers available, though. Needed room key card to use elevator, which offered excellent security. When we checked in late at night, faucet in bathtub wasn’t working properly and the staff quickly changed our room for us.

The cleaning was not sufficient. Reception was always busy, Incredible, always need to be waiting for 10-15 minutes. Room old style.

The location was superb, right behind the opera, 5 minutes walk from the basilica. Breakfast was very good, everything you need in the morning and more. Staff was super patient and nice.

Couldn’t get the tv to work with screen mirroring, the only other thing you could watch was a few news channels.
Great! Super comfortable beds, nice rooms and nice breakfast.

We had an issue with our kettle. Every time we plugged it in and switched the kettle on it blew the fuse in the room and all electricity went off. We spoke to reception, they had the power restored and told us we could get hot water from the bar downstairs and that they would sort the issue but the issue was never resolved and it was too much hassle to go and get hot water at the time we wanted a hot drink. The room was very hot during the night and it was too noisy to have the window open, so it affected our sleep.
Everything apart from the kettle tripping the electrics and the room temperature. The hotel was spotless and the room very spacious
