Beautiful property, set back from the road ,ample parking.The host Mary & John are the nicest people you could ever meet, nothing was too much trouble.So friendly and hospitable, rooms are spotless with the added feature of a fridge in the room. The cooked breakfast was delicious and the homemade different breads were gorgeous. I will definitely return to stay and have already recommended it to family and friends.

Splendid. Bedrooms clean and comfortable. Good quality bed. John and Mary’s hospitality was excellent. Breakfasts were scrumptious. Ideal location near the centre of Youghal with the added bonus of off road car parking.

Perfect central location close to restaurants, supermarket, shops and within a short walking distance from the sea. Cozy rooms, spotless, well equipped with kitchenette, TV, hairdryer and even a fridge! Hosts are fabulous! Would love to see Mary and John again.

Hi, we recently stayed for 4 days in Room 8. The room had everything you needed plus more and was so comfortable. The location is excellent and John and Mary were so nice and could not do enough to help. I would definitely return and definitely recommend.

Beautifully appointed property in the heart of Youghal. I love staying in Avonmore House as I feel so comfortable there! Oh, and the breakfasts are incredible!

It was a challenge to carry our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. John carried my wife's, but I lugged mine up.

The breakfast was fantastic. We had overlooked including breakfast in our booking. When we realized this, we alerted John that we would like to enjoy the meal while we were there. As such, he prepared a delicious plate of scrambled eggs and salmon. Plus, his homemade bread was exceptional. What a pleasant start to our day!

I liked everything especially the breakfasts. The weather could have been better but we did see sunshine one day during our stay.

We had a perfect stay in Avonmore House, Mary and John were the best hosts you could imagine. The rooms are very nice and individually furnished. We missed nothing. The breakfast is individually prepared and excellent - even with home-baked bread! We could not have a better start for our vacation in Ireland. Many thanks to Mary and John.

It was sad to see so many vacant and derelict properties in the heart of this lovely town, but obviously the hosts can’t help that.

The room was exceptional, the hosts were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Good location for both the beach in one direction and the town centre in the other with plenty of decent bars and restaurants nearby.

This is a beautiful 18th century home. It is a delight and a privilege to stay there. The stairs could be an issue for people with mobility issues.

Mary and John were marvelous. The food was plentiful and delicious. They adapted to our dietary needs and were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, and the shower water pressure was wonderful.
