Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Excellent staff, polite, helpful, knowledgeable and thoughtful. Lovely room, bed somewhat hard, and would have been extra helpful for one lighter blanket in room. Quilt on bed was far too warm, and sheet alone a little cool! Excellent otherwise!

There was nothing not to like. JUst a short walk into the old town but in a safe neighborhood with comfortable homes. Their backyard was full of beautiful flowers and a friendly lovely dog.
Our hosts were friendly and really helpful without being intrusive. We enjoyed getting .to know them

We loved everything!
Breakfast options were great…we chose a full Irish breakfast one morning and then porridge the next. Really loved the fresh fruit. We also loved the free and easy parking plus how close it was to town (just a 5-minute walk). Noreen and Michael were warm and welcoming.

Noreen made us feel at home from the minute she opened the door to us. Such a lovely, friendly lady, as was her husband, Michael. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, and breakfast was both relaxed and delicious. We went into town and had a lovely evening meal, just five minutes' drive away from Brooklodge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it to other travellers. Thank you, Noreen and Michael.

It would be great if the shower could have more pressure when the hot water is on.
The owners were great, very attentive and helpful. We arrived super early and our room wasn’t ready but they kept our bags in our assigned room and gave us the keys for when we came back. Down the hill theres a mini supermarket and a gas station. The place was cozy and nice, we has coffee,tea bags and water at our disposal in the room. Spacious bathrooms with a wide sink and body wash gel included. The shower head can be adjusted to different heights. Irish breakfast was delicious and an assortment of yogurts, teas, bread and cereal are included.

Beautiful Location Room was exceptional and very clean Tessa and Bertie were so friendly and accommodating. Even arranging for bikes to be delivered to the B & B for us and arranging our bags to be brought to the ferry. Can't fault this place and will definitely be going back 😊

TV is too small and is not a Smart TV so no access to Netflix. Also a Bathroom is advertised on the site of which it doesn't have one, could do with a Towel holder beside the sink.
Bed was very comfortable, room was clean and towels changed every day with fresh bottle of drinking water supplied. The owners was very nice and helpful.

Only downside was the bed was too warm. A lighter duvet be perfect for the warm weather we have been having.
The warm welcome from Noirin and Michael. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious.
