Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandWi-fi password could be clearly written on a piece of paper in each room. Disappointed I couldn't 'surf the web' during my stay. A warmer welcome at the reception would have been nice. Better signage would have helped.
I had some trouble finding the hotel as it was dark and very busy. I was glad to park in the adjacent car park and check in. Sadly, I could not get the wi-fi to work on any of my devices. The room was nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The in-room bathroom was fine. Sockets were a bit lacking. Nice TV that worked. Tea and coffee-making facilities in room. Plenty of clean towels. The room was very clean and comfortably heated. Very nice breakfast (cereal, juice, veggie fry, toast and coffee) in meal room just off reception area. This was included in the fair price. I plan to support this hotel by staying here again asap.

United KingdomNot the most welcoming either at reception or breakfast. Noisy - no double glazing in rooms next to busy road.
Old fashioned type of hotel. Close to harbour on the Grand Canal and five minutes walk to Main Street where there are restaurants from different countries and traditional Irish bars. Excellent choice of breakfasts.

IrelandThe room was a little chilly on arrival (3pm) but adequately heated soon afterwards. There was no hotel bar to relax in after arrival. I would have liked to be asked if my breakfast egg should be hard or soft (it arrived hard). I would have liked to be asked if I would like more coffee at breakfast.
Helpful staff responsive to guest request to turn on tv (plug was switched off at the mains). Excellent service at breakfast. Price was attractive for one-night stay compared to other hotels. I liked the proximity of town centre and the availability of free parking onsite.

IrelandTV not working in room. Very poor lighting in room. Shower area was very small not great. Breakfast was ok would have done with a little more. Front door was locked very early when coming back from town. It was locked one night at 8:45pm.
First of all it was myself and a mate that was staying here for 3 nights going to the Ploughing Championship. Ok rooms small and comfortable. Great shower in the bathroom. Only a short walk to the main Street. Breakfast was ok, no waiting time for breakfast. Over all this is my 2nd time staying here and yes would stay again.

Irelandbut unfortunately the lady owner of the hotel was not helpful at all, we got hello heres ur key and that was it, the rest of the hotel staff were excellent, and to make it more unpleasant to deal with the lady owner we left behind a plug and lead phone charger, I rang to see if it was possible to have it posted and I would pay for any cost to have this done and the response left me really taking back, the lady owner said iv nothing to put it in to and ask could I collect it, we live in cork and the hotel is in county Kildale, a 3 hour drive, ,really felt like she didn't have the time for any questions we had over our stay.
We loved the hotel and the food was excellent,

United KingdomThe bathrooms were not as well maintained as you would expect. Our request to pay in Euros was not processed adding 5% to the bill. This after being asked to pay an extra 100 Euros on the agreed price on arrival. This is the main reason for the poor review score.
Hotel was in easy to find location and the rooms were comfortable. We were not stopped from taking take out meals to rooms. Breakfast staff were especially friendly. Parking was very close by. Desk is manned 24hrs.

United KingdomThe fact that the restaurant was not open for evening meals even though this wasn't obvious from the online description.
The room was OK for a budget hotel but as it cost 90 euros a night wasn't exactly budget. The breakfast staff were lovely and the food excellent.
