You cannot walk to town from this home but it is a short drive, couple miles.

Rivermount is a lovely home and Clare was a great host. The home was perfectly clean and breakfast was delicious. The view from the front of the home where you can sit out is spectacular view of kinsale.

We just spent two nights at Rivermount House and absolutely loved it! We've stayed at many b&b all over the US, Canada and Europe, and this is hands down one of our favorites! The owners attend to every little detail to ensure your comfort, from the amazing bathroom to the comfortable bed and linens. Breakfast was wonderful, and Josie was great! She treated us like long lost friends. Everything was super clean, the setting was peaceful and relaxing, and tastefully decorated. Resident pups Lola and Charlie were an added bonus!

It was a bit far from town, a taxi for 5 people was 25EUR one way. If you have a car it’s a crazy drive on curvy, very narrow roads. We opted for the taxi!

It's just a tad far away from Kinsale town and there's no shops near, so you'll have to rely on car or taxi, it's not so much a 'didn't like', it's just an observation and note for other guests

Just outside of Kinsale itself, really nice property and the owner was really communicative. Much more reasonably priced than some of the hotels closer to the centre.

The heating automatically toggled on but staff were quick at switching it off upon request. All else was absolutely stellar!

Unfortunately the velux roof window in our bedroom had a broken blind which marred the appearance of the room. It only pulled down half way. Whilst it did not preclude us from a good night's sleep, some people may find the early daylight a bit disrupting to their sleep.

The location is very picturesque, lovely views. Ample free parking available. Friendly welcome. Our room was spacious bedroom with ensuite bathroom facilities (Over bath shower) Large very comfortable double bed with superb linen. Kettle and tea and coffee provided. Delicious choice for breakfast with buffet cereals, fruits, yoghurts, juices, etc. also cooked to order hot breakfast. Great waitresses.

House was fantastic! Our family stay was so enjoyable! A car is definitely needed for the area but very close to Kinsale. Our gracious host was so sweet and kind! Josey at breakfast was AMAZING! Highly recommend this property!
