Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe beds were not comfortable. We stayed there during early spring, so it was cold outside and the poorly constructed window did not keep the cold outside. Turning on the radiator left a bad smell in the room and an empty toothpaste bottle was stuck inside of it. The restrooms were dirty with hairs in sink and shower.
The hostel is located in the city centre and you can reach all important places rather fast.

ItalyI didn’t really like the fact that the windows couldn’t open, the smell inside our room shared by six people was awful after just a few hours… The bathroom was okay, very very small and there was only cold water coming from the sink. Even though the staff was always nice and welcoming, most of the time there was no one at the reception and we had to ask the pizza guys most of the information that we needed and sometimes they couldn’t help us because they didn’t know
The locations is phenomenal, literally 2minutes walk to Temple bar! Other than that, I would say the structure is quite mediocre, me and my friend shared a bedroom with 4 other people, the roll was perfectly clean but the real problem was the temperature! Way too hot and since you couldn’t open the windows there was always an awful smell inside :/ The staff was very nice and always welcoming though!

SpainThe mattress I had was sunken in with a literal crater that effected back support and comfortability. The bed above me also showed signs of piss and nasty leaks stains. Also I felt it was a little frustrating not having the attendee their most times like when I returned the key, I wasn't sure if it would be safely accepted while I put at them on the desk I was scared someone could snatch them.
I liked the people I shared the room with which isn't always the case people were friendly and the staff was very nice at telling me what I needed to do to access the space and what I was able to get from the pizza front next door. It was bin the Gayborhood for queer folks this was amazing to see because I hadn't known much of the Dublin scene and this made my trip so memorable as Georg Bar was legitimately across the street.

United KingdomIt was a grim place, very basic and dated. The cleanliness of the bathroom was questionable and it felt icky. It was very noisy as well.
The location was good (close to Temple Bar area) but that was about it. Staff were friendly and you could keep your luggage at the reception after check out for free. There were 2 coat hangers in the room. It was a secure building with multiple locked doors/coded doors to get through. Heater was warm.

United States of AmericaIf you’re looking for a decently priced hostel in the middle of Dublin, this is the place to do it. The beds aren’t incredibly comfortable, but what hostel bed is? It is a little confusing on how you get into the hostel, but if you go straight to the Apache Pizza, they will help you get checked in because it is directly attached to the pizza restaurant. Highly recommend if you want to be close to all of the sites and shopping Dublin has to offer!

United KingdomNoise from the street was loud until 2-3pm with somebody shouting each night. The window was closed but felt like is was open. Pricy for the standard of accommodation but it was right in the middle of the entertainment area which is the only real good point.
It was in a great location and easy to find. Room was clean enough and the bed linen was also clean.

AustraliaIt is in the middle of Temple Bar, so be aware that it will be noisy, not just music etc, but lots of drunken fights at 2,3 & 4 in the morning. It says it is a Hostel/B & B but does not provide breakfast or a kitchen. They do have a little table with a toaster, kettle and microwave which was handy. Very basic room, no T.V.
The position was great, right in the middle of Temple Bar. Staff were very welcoming with lots of information. A few recent posts talked about lack of security. I think they have stepped up their game, there is an inside door with a lock code as well as the outside door with a key. Everything seemed clean enough, I did see cleaners come in. The bathroom was spotless. Lots of grocery shops in walking distance.

IrelandThe lock on the door going up to the bathroom was a bit ridiculous and it took me about 20 mins to get it sorted luckily by someone next door in the restaurant as there was no staff to ask.
