Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe light of the toilet on the second floor didn’t work (for already a few weeks apparently) and not everything is super tidy but They clean everything everyday so I think it is a side effect of a shared bathroom with a lot of guests.
The value for money is very good! The lady of the hotel was very friendly and the location is great.

IrelandNo light working in second floor toilet, there was drops of a red liquid in my door... possible blood? Over all the place could do with some fresh paint and attention to hygiene but it is a hostel not a 4 star hotel.

GermanyThe whole place smells weird. Just outside my room it was even worst, like dirty feet that had been there for ages. One of the mattress was ready to be burned, you could feel all of the inside. Cleaning in general was a bit below average. Dublin is freaking expensive, but might be worth putting some extra bills for a better place
Location is great and staff is friendly. Price is low for Dublin standards.

United KingdomThere is one big issue - the noise. Windows are single paned and are not sealed tight when closed. May as well be standing outside with the revellers! Hostel needs to spend some money and sort this out and there ratings would be much higher. Extraction fan in the corridor is extremley noisey too. Advice take a good set of ear plugs!
Cheap Accommodation for Dublin in the centre Very convenient, room although small was warm and clean. Bathroom facilities were good.

The double bedroom was nice and clean. We could also request a late check in at 2am, which was nice since our flight was delayed and we couldnt make it on the actual check in time.

In the center of Dublin, next to pubs, cafes, markets. It could be improved a bit.

ItalyNot very clean; after two days there was no more toilet paper. Windows did not shut properly, so the room was constantly cold. Furthermore, you could hear loud noises coming from the street until 3/4 am, and the other guests were pretty loud too. Staff was not too professional, they never even checked our IDs.
Very central location. Comfortable beds and pillows. There is a luggage room.

IrelandCarpentry is not solid. Bed sheets are old. Why do budget accommodations don't buy cheap but new bedsheets to improve their reviews? There's a kettle in the hallway but no cups so how can you make tea or coffee? The main door lock is loose. We nearly didn't go in after a late night out. You have to keep turning the keys a few times & you will get nervous you mIght not get in at all. Needs fixing. I said this lock condition to the staff but apparently they know this with customer experience. So fix? Very central location yes. If you just want a bed then fine. And bring earplugs if you want to have a sleep straight away as you will hear late night street noise. Big windows.
Very central location. You will be a few steps to Temple Bar if you're looking for this, and right in the centre of city too.

IrelandNo elevator, which was quite hard as I stayed on 3rd floor and had a heavy suitcase. Room was alright although it seemed like two of the people have stayed there for a long time already, room smelled like it as well. My key for the door didn't work, lucky for me that the restaurant staff opened.
Location very central, in city center, close to shops/bars etc. Staff was nice although not trained. Everything clean. Was alright for a one night stay. You get discount in their pizza fast food place.

IrelandThe bunk beds were not very high, so you could not sit comfortably when on a lower bunk. And no cages underneath the beds to lock away valuables. No lift for those wondering. The upstairs balcony had no rain cover and was a little hard to get out to as it had a hatchway similar as you find on a ship with no proper step.
I liked the reception lady. I liked how even though there was no guest's kitchen, effort was made to provide some meal preparation facilities with items such as a fridge, microwave, and kettle to boil water on one of the floors.

IrelandFor the price I paid, there was nothing I could complain about. Obviously it was not luxurious, if that is what you need, you better look for other accommodation other than hostels.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. The Hostel is located in an amazing central location and offers a discount with a pizza shop affiliated with it. I will surely book it again, should I need to return to Dublin. There are some noises coming from the streets at night, not the hostel's fault but the central location.

United Kingdom- Not a real hostel, more like a guest house - No kitchen - I would say clean but not the cleanest - No storage For this price, if you're looking for something cheap and just stay overnight, good choice to go but if you are looking for a real hostel, not the right one
- Location: Great - Price: Compare to the other overpriced hostels in Dublin, really good price - 40% off on the takeway pizza shop, good food and nice staff - I could store my luggage before checking in and after checking out
