Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaIt was a bit removed from any action, but we saw that as a positive.
lovely venue in an historic stone coachhouse in a beautiful and quiet garden setting that has been expertly converted into very comfortable B & B accommodation.

IrelandCould have done with a mirror near a plug point for blow drying hair and maybe one of those individually wrapped biscuits to go with the tea but all in all a grand place.
The Coachhouse was a really nice gem 💎. Micheal was a great host , very friendly and always happy. Breakfast was a welcome change from the full Irish. Accommodation spotless and plenty of piping hot water. Will definitely recommend it.

United KingdomI really can't think of anything we didn't like.
We ordered the Continental breakfast the night before on order sheets in our room. Our host delivered a tray with our order to our room and we ate at the table. Delicious good and great selection of Yoghurts, cereals, and breads. With French pressed coffee. The rooms were very clean and the water pressure in the shower amazing! And the added bonus was the old dog who loved on us and shared her sticks with us. The host was very friendly and made us feel right at home immediately. He was very organised and gave us great tips as to where to eat dinner and what to see in the area.

IrelandA serendipitous location and finely renovated dwelling: an 18th century coach house with stable block. The latter restored in monastic-style, forms a suite of motel-type bedrooms, of reasonable size, equipped to a good standard. Comfortable double bed was appreciated. A very convivial host and family. The accommodation block is situated in a beautifully kept garden. Ideal stopping-off point for overnight rest if/when travelling the west coast or north-south.

This property is a little off the beaten path but absolutely lovely! Michael is an excellent host and Juno his dog will have you playing fetch in no time! Love’d it! Michael also helped us out with a dinner reservation which was so helpful. He also suggested we include some spots on our travel itinerary which proved out to be spectacular as he said. Simply a great place to stay.

United KingdomThere is nothing to dislike, unless you object to a friendly old dog called Juno coming to say hello.
Every single thing. Michael, our host, has thought of every detail and made sure it was perfect. From the little vase of fresh, scented flowers to the freshly baked and still warm croissants for breakfast there was nothing lacking.

United States of AmericaMichael and his friendly dog, Juno greeted us at the gate. The building we stayed in, a coach house from the 170os, had been beautiful restored and updated by Michael. The French doors looked out onto a garden. The water pressure and heat of the shower water were wonderful. We slept well on the comfortable large bed. In the morning Michael served us warm croissants, delicious yogurt and fresh fruit and hot tea. Would love to stay there again

What a lovely surprise. After spending two days in Galway, we drove north toward Sligo. Lucky for us, we chose The Coachhouse. Michael, his children, and his dog met us at the gate. The Coachhouse is exactly that - a refurbished coachhouse, done by himself. The room was delightful and created with obvious attention to detail. Michael made us dinner reservations for Moran's, the pub across the street, which was awesome. The following morning, after breakfast - delivered by our host to our door, Michael gave us directions for a scenic route from Balintogher to Derry and they didn't disappoint. We're awfully grateful for great conversation, great care, and a splendid time.
