Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdomthe staff were a bit lazy I think and didn’t show me the room even tho it was complicated to find and next to building site with a sign saying No Entry… I had to walk all the way back to reception (across two courtyards) and ask them again! Then one of them got off their backside and finally showed me the way! Should’ve done that the first time round I mean one has luggage and all!
location: Trinity College Dublin! what more do I need to say it’s awesome.

CanadaAlthough very comfortable, this room didn't have a vie (apart from windows. of other rooms). Difficult to use the laundry room; closed too early; inconvenient as must have online account and wifi to access.
This room was in a new building so very modern and clean, and appreciated having the elevator. The kitchen was very modern, the bathrooms were so clean and the shower was excellent. Excellent location.

IrelandThe fact that accommodation cannot hold onto luggage, while bringing it over to the Arts block (at an additional fee), is a bit of a downside (however, the lady at the desk was so bubbly and friendly). I enjoy my coffee in the morning and only supplying Nescafé original sticks was a disappointment; it would have been nice to have had a Nespresso machine in the kitchen.
The accommodation staff were very friendly. The room was clean. It was lovely to walk around campus and take in the historical ambience of the University.

United KingdomCould have had better maintained paths throughout the campus as the uneven ground caused some damage to the wheels of my luggage and noise of this gave me a headache but still not much worse condition than main streets.
Amazing swimming pool and exceptionally clean and comfortable room. Also surprisingly quiet and relaxing even though in the heart of the city. Breakfast was excellent too - and staff gave very generous portions - well worth the additional cost.

MalaysiaBitter face of one of the front office staff. Others was very kind and helpful. (Sorry I don't remember his name)
Centrally located in centre of dublin, the buildings surrounding is very calm and nice to walk around in the evenings or day time. Reception staffs were helpful but smiling a bit can lighten up the service a bit. (My advice to reception staff, if don't like/ or to be interest to be the service staff, don't be the image of this beautiful accommodation setting. My suggestion is to smile a little bit more.)

BelgiumAccommodation in Ireland is too expensive compared to other countries in Europe. But within the context, I am happy with the room we got at Trinity. It was brand new and clean. There is absolutely no staff around apart from the cleaners.

United States of AmericaThe window in our room could only open a few inches which made it really hot and stuffy inside. An addition of a fan would’ve been nice.

United KingdomMy room on the first night overlooked the traffic lights on Pearse Street and was very noisy. I asked for another room the following morning and was allocated a room in a quieter building with the minimum of fuss which I really appreciated.
The staff were pleasant and helpful and the location was superb.

United States of AmericaThere's no AC and the room has little ventilation--opening the window didn't help. You can supposedly borrow a fan from the accommodations office.
I didn't know what to expect for a dorm room, but it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It's a bit of a tight fit (as expected for a dorm room), but we were hardly in our room except to sleep and shower, so that wasn't much of an issue.
