Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelWe'll start from the basics: the furniture was burned a bit, the supposed "kitchen" was not equipped at all (only a kettle), the shower ceiling was dripping, there were no available windows. The keys get stuck in the door lock all the time. The entrence looks really grim. To summerize, the pictures do not reflect the property well.
The airconditioning worked (except sometimes there was a strong smell of cigaretes) and the shower and bathroom were working.

IsraelThe room didn't have air conditioning so the room wasn't aired out.
The bed was a welcome comfort after a long day of exotic sightseeing, travelling, and going through border crossing and customs on Shabbat.

ItalyWell.. The "kitchen" is pretty much useless, there is only a sink, no cups, no plates, no cutleries. If you want to cook, do not consider this option!
Very close to the center of Eilat, close to the beaches and easy check in. Also very confortable bed!

SwitzerlandDespite it calls itself a suite, there's nothing like that. There's a kitchen shelf with a microwave (didn't check it works), but no plates, cups, cutlery at all. The only windows is going to a small sticky backyard. It could be cleaner, especially after it is called "rich" and "luxury", that name is just a bad joke btw.
The location is 10 minutes from beach and shops/restaurants. It's a quite street, only other guests are risk of beeing loud.

United States of AmericaThis hotel is understaffed, requires a lot of deep cleaning and minor repairs (leaks on the walls don’t add charm). The cleaning lady is wonderful but she can’t do it all by herself. I scrubbed the shower as we moved in. Would’ve been great to clean the couch professionally and the drapes. It is sad as there is so much potential! By the time we were moving out the hotel management decided to replace beautifull huge couches, with an old tiny ones. I must say that it’s a mistake, just clean the grey ones.
Very good breakfast. There is creamy pasta, eggs and omelette, pastries with cheese or potatoes, cheese casserole was amazing, salads, hummus, apples and oranges, dried fruits and sometimes even croissants with chocolate. Large suite with a great sized shower. The staff works hard to please the guests.

IsraelFloor was very dirty, there was a gum stuck to the headboard, toilet was cleaned, but toilet seat was not. Only one blanket (a bed for two people needs at least two blankets in my opinion). There is no person at the reception, it's automatic by code, which is fine, but I think when "no one is watching" guests feel more free to make noise and be inconsiderate.
Good sized room with a big window, big and comfortable bed, also had towels and liquid soaps, electric kettle, microwave and small fridge. Pleasant lounge. Big supermarket near by.
