The room does not have hot water and we had some trouble with the water not working properly (giving you a little bit of a shock when you tried to turn it on and off).

The hostel is at an amazing location, right next to Assi Ghat where the morning ceremony takes place, as well as right next to many restaurants, shops and cafes. The hostel has great vibes, room is big and AC works. Stuff helped with everything from booking a train ticket and doing laundry to booking a boat trip for the sunrise.

Staying at Banaras guest house completely made our stay in Varanasi. We had 2 other places booked before this one and I'm so glad we changed. The staff are so lovely and when I was stupid enough to forget a personal belonging went above and beyond to try and get it across a subcontinent to return it back to me. I cannot highly recommend this place enough.

Quiet, clean and central place. You will feel at home here. Nice terrace on the top, really close to Ganga river and to main ghats. Located in a small street close to main attractions. The owners can help you out with train/taxi/bus booking, arranging trips and find special spots and events!

I like everything.

I rightly recommend this place. Nice location, lovely and friendly staff. Amazing breakfast. I felt part of this family. Near to Assi Gath and also only short walk to the main gath. I can't wait to return to Varanasi next year and stay in this place again.

The location is super, in Assi Gath, the owners are really kind, helpful and very friendly. I used to have breakfast on the roof top every morning and I liked it so much, I could meet other guests there and with the owners, all together, I could find a special and friendly atmosphere!

The manager and his brother were really lovely, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were spacious, bright and clean. The hotel had lots of character. The rooftop was great with good views. They sorted out boat tours for us and an airport pick up. We really felt looked after and safe.

Everything was good.

The location of the accommodation is perfect. It is located near Assi ghat where Ganga Aarti is held every morning and sometimes in the evening. We especially liked the rooftop area. It's clean. Our host Naveen is a super guy who will provide you with all the necessary information you may be interested in about Varanasi, Hinduism, great food. Breakfast is modest, but tasty.

The location is great, Host is helpful, we booked a triple room which was spacious for the 2 of us, the bathroom was clean... Blanket had gathered some dust but was otherwise seemed clean... We look forward to coming again
