Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur stay at Leelu Homestay was fantastic. Roy is an incredible host - he is so informative, helpful, friendly and welcoming that it felt like we were staying with family and not a stranger. He took us to buy fresh seafood from the fish market and to a local restaurant to have it cooked how we like and he organised trips for us to see kathakali, go kayaking and more. His home is a beautiful old 3 storey building (plus a rooftop garden) right in the heart of Fort Kochi - a few steps away from amazing cafes and restaurants. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The breakfasts were always delicious. We’ve been travelling for months now and this accommodation is the most homely we’ve felt the whole trip. Highly recommend booking a room here.

MalaysiaMr Roy was a great host. We travelled with 4 kids and all of us felt like our own home. Mr Roy helped us to arrange airport transport and auto (tuk tuk) for nearby movements. He also gave lots of suggestions for tour at Fort Cochin and nearby city. Breakfast was good. I am grateful to choose Leelu Homestay.

United KingdomGreat location, right in the heart of the Fort Kochi area. Roy and his team provided delicious breakfast which varied from Indian to lighter meals as we requested. He was also very helpful in helping us plan our time there which included organising our trip to Alleppy.

NetherlandsBehind the homestay there’s a hostel, from which you can hear the sounds at night. And also a device which makes noise all night long. Couldn’t sleep with the window open, unfortunately.
Very friendly and helpful owners, room was clean and spacious with own bathroom. It’s close to most of the interesting things in Fort Kochi and else the owner knows where you can rent a bicycle to visit the rest.

Polandi made resevation for a deluxe double room (and not a deluxe single room) because in bookng.com site it said that it has a view (garden, landmark or city). one day before my arrival i send a messege to the home stay ,asking for a room with the best view possible. the owner replied he "will do the needfull arrangements" but when i arrived he took me to a room with a window facing a wall (in other words with no view). when i said i cant stay in this room he took me to another room with a view of the street (to my knowledge there are no rooms facing a garden or landmark) but said this room is more expensive and i have to add 500 Rupees. i want to emphasize that i booked the most expensive room he has but he stil wanted me to add more money for the this room. since i dont stay in rooms without some view i added the money and took the room facing the street i later decided to extend my stay and wanted to book the room i was staying in in booking.com site. when i asked him which is the room in the site ( so i can make the booking in the site) he said that he already told booking.com that he doesn't allow them to give discounts to his guests and if i will make the booking through the site he will immediately canceal it. when i asked him again to show me which is the room i am staying in now he lost his temper and told me that he is tiered of my questions , that i am insulting him and that i should leave his house (the owner gave me a good impression when i arrived but this all changed when he lost his temper) . so i justi stayed for one night and left the next morning.
i divide my review to 2 parts. one for the room and one for the behavior of the owner . the room i eventually got ((after adding 500 Rupees). was fine. air-condition was working well . so did the wi.fi. location was also good. not far from the chinese fishing nets

Greecewe booked a room for 3 and while the room description was a large double bed and 1 single bed, we had a double bed and a mattress on the floor. The mattress was so uncomfortable that we all slept on the double bed and the extra costs (taxes and bed!) ended up doubling the price. The owner withhold our passports using excuses for the whole day and wasn’t reachable by phone. When I told him to ask through booking.com for the extra charges since nothing was written anywhere in the platform, he threatened me with the police
clean space and warm welcome
