The gardens could celebrate native plants more- like growing local wildflowers or the amazing Seabuckthorn shrub, host to so many birds.

The location at the foot of a steep hill is absolutely stunning. The architecture is sympathetic to the environment, with the hotel rising from the grounds like the Himalayan peaks along the river valley. The gardens are delightful with a stream running through the property. The breakfast is excellent. Dinner is good, enhanced by great views.

Customer wi-fi services was down for the first 50% of our stay with the problem reported by staff as a "slow server," but other wi-fi access points at the hotel were accessible (we know because employees had wi-fi access). This was a terrible inconvenience because we did not have mobile access to the internet as a result of restrictions placed on foreign phone access in this part of India. So for that period, we were completely disconnected.

Very helpful staff, nice rooms, excellent food, great location. We made a mistake and did not read the fine print which said we could not use credit cards at the hotel and had to pay in cash (as non-Indians). None of our American credit cards worked (Visa or AMEX) and we did not have enough cash to pay the hotel in INR. As a result, the hotel allowed us to return to Leh without payment but with the guarantee/promise that we would make payment to the hotel that we were staying at in Leh. No hotel in America would have allowed us to do that. We settled the hotel bill from Leh as promised.

It’s hard to find something that I didn’t like. If I have to pick on something that would be, though the Wi-Fi connection is limited to 3 devices, I could only connect 2.

The staff is very nice and helpful, especially Mr. Ramzan, Ms. Dolma and Mr. Tara. The rooms are comfy and the location is good.

Check in staff asked for Google pay or cash.I was literally out of cash since we were foreigners and didn't have the google pay.Hotel shoud accept credit card for large payments such as room tariff for 2 nights approx Rs 32k

I traveled in winter when most of the other properties were closed, could not believe how amazing and comfortable the stay was at Hotel Stone Hedge. Look forward to returning sometime soon.

We were just impressed with the Hotel Room, the overall Hotel construction, the Dining Area, the Staff hospitality. It ticked all the boxes

It's overpriced and they don't have the capacity to deliver for the price you pay. So don't expect much even if you are paying Rs.15000+ per night. Restaurant is under staffed. Simple Dal Chawal and 1 roti took almost an hour. Such feedbacks are not taken positively by the hotel management. Room is not well insulated and is cold. Inspite the outside temperature being 5-6 C they didn't put the heater on even after requesting to put it on for sometime. As for the hotel management 5-6C is summer temperature and we should have visited Goa instead of Nubra. Such were the comments given by the hotel management ( Can share the message screen shot as well) Construction work was going on the floor above the room alloted to us with continuous banging noise of civil work which started at 9am and didn't stop till 5pm. When we requested them to stop multiple times it didn't stop and it was considered as a non genuine complaint by the so called hotel management who were not present at the location. So book at your own risk if you wish to stay here as we had one of the worst experience staying at Stone Hedge.
