It was strange that the shower was outside but definitely worth taking a hot shower outside in minus 1 degrees.

Location was amazing, we felt like living in the woods, with the river flowing below. It was an amazing experience living there

Really unique location, surrounded by trees on the edge of a majestic river. Well maintained paths made for a magical early morning walk during our winter stay. Extremely clean and well-designed modern cabin. Bed was super comfy. The compact kitchen has everything you need for meal prep. Highly recommend a tour of the Hella Caves, located nearby.

This is one of the best cabins we’ve ever stayed in and the hosts are amazing. So cosy, warm, comfortable - even down to to -8 outside we were so cosy inside. Lots of little extras which made our stay so fantastic - gorgeous fluffy duvets, Bluetooth speaker, extra towels, Christmas tree, torch. We can’t wait to come back when we hopefully come back to Iceland in the summer. Huge thanks to our hosts for making us feel so welcome.

I have no objections, I find the stay incredibly pleasant.

The cabin is very spacious and incredibly clean. Seamless contact with the owner and internet access. Kitchen fully equipped with kitchen appliances, possibility of temperature regulation. Great view, beautiful surroundings for a short or longer trip. The outdoor shower despite the cold nights works great, we will gladly come back at the next opportunity.

It’s a really cozy and lovely cabin with fantastic facilities! The black cabin looks so cool in the forest! Birna is so nice to give us detailed instructions for parking and check-in/out.

It was absolutely beautiful and quaint. The beds were very comfortable with wonderful linens. I was apprehensive about the outdoor shower but it was great! Water was nice and hot and kept the area warm. All in all it was a very nice place to stay.

We liked this place so much, so we came back again for a second stay, after hiking the Laugavegur trail. Great place to stay as a family of 3, enough room for everyone. Clean, cozy and located close to many of South Iceland attractions.

Amazing location in Hella - clean, cozy, nice view and caring hosts. Hot outdoor show was a nice treat. Make sure to stop by at the Audkula cafe for a cup of coffee and a sandwich.

I just wish the cabin was a little bigger. We had three people and hardly had space for luggage. If you have two people maybe fine. There was no door between the bedroom and living room which I needed since I was sleeping in the living room sofa. It's a tiny cabin, but great for a short stay.

We were greeted by the host. Really really kind man who made sure everything was ok, and even carried my ultra-heavy luggage to the cabin since there were stairs. We booked two nights in the cabin, but one day apart since we had to be in another location that night. The host offered us to leave the luggage in the cabin (free of charge) during that night we were away. It was incredibly considerable of him since my luggage was indeed a lot of trouble. Feeling very grateful. The apartment was clean and modern, warm and cozy. The outdoor shower was surprisingly comfortable. Location is perfect. So close to the Hella station. The river/lake view was relaxing. Very peaceful place.

Convenient and private river facing location. clean,very comfortable bed and pillows. Half open shower place (but not cold at all ) give a great view of trees and river while taking a shower. Lovely host couple with warm welcome make this cozy cabin a great place to stay. Definitely recommend it.

This cabin was incredible! Check-in was so easy and the cabin was so clean and cozy, the absolute perfect place to stay. The dome cafe right next to the cabins was a perfect place to stop for a coffee and sweet treat. Free WiFi and a really perfect location for our next leg of our trip. I hope I can stay there again soon! The shower is connected to the bathroom outside and I actually really enjoyed being able to shower surrounded by nature and the views. It was a really memorable stay.

Nothing. Everything was absolutely perfect!

The hosts, the location, the scenery, the view, the shower! The hosts were amazing and friendly. You feel like you are visiting good friends and when you leave you miss the place and them terribly! They also advised us on sightseeing spots with personal view not just the best on commercial lists. They kept an eye for us when we were late back. The view of the river, the sounds and the swans!! The shower couldn't be any better. I could see the swans and the river while showering. They left welcome presents for us and board games which we loved. The kitchen is very well equipped and the personal touch and style is obvious everywhere you look. The WiFi was excellent. I will never forget the sunrise view from the sofa. I will definitely stay there on our next visit. I can't wait to have a coffee again there! IT WAS AMAZING!!!
