The driveway from the main road was a bit difficult to find. Maybe a small arrow sign on one of the drives?

The location could not be beat! The location is in the Herjólfsdalur valley. It offered amazing and breath-taking views. If we were hikers, it would be a great basecamp. There were also sheep on the golf course that crossed the road and were enjoying grass in the campsite area as well

I needed to be close to restroom, asked 3 weeks in advance and was given the furthest possible cabin. It would be fine if I didn’t have to go 4 times at night. Wide awake from the cold trek. Little sleep

One of the bathrooms with a shower floods. Lights didn't work in a couple of the WCs.

Easy check in. Good location in town. Beautiful scenery. Warm, comfortable cabin. Decent kitchen facilities. Everything I expect from a camping spot like this. Great price!

Broken lock on one of the bathroom doors, non-functioning hand dryers (no paper towels), and in the kitchen we were asked to dry our dishes but only one very soiled towel was provided (yuck).

There was no breakfast but location is epic.

Difficult to check in as you had to find someone who had cell service to call a phone number as there was no Wi-Fi or alternative way to check in. It would have been nice to know a phone call was required because that was a serious hurdle for us. Also, the cabin I stayed in (9?) had something hanging loose outside that banged the exterior wall all night long in the high wind. It was super difficult to sleep with the banging.

Checking in was difficult. Lack of Toilet in hut is not convenient, especially during rain storms. Outside shower could be cleaner and needs something to hold personal items and clothing. Cramped space does not need plastic flowers in pots taking up precious space.

Being closer to the bathrooms would've been better but we didn't know that at the time. We did have to rent extra bedding as late Sept is cool weather, and I wish that information was clearer. No towels were provided to us at check in.

Location was excellent and was close enough to town, if you have a car.

The common room is not very comfortable and on a rainy day there is really nothing,where you can hang out. The kitchen ist worn out and everything looks really old and used. No wifi at all...

The location is amazing and the huts are cute! But thats about it for this place!

Bathrooms too far from rooms

The huts are just like the photos and really cute. Would have loved to have been able to stay in good weather. If there hasn't been a raging storm, which shook the Hobbit hut much of the night, this would have been great. Made it a challenge to run up to the bathroom in the night. The kitchen area is where we hung most of the evening and it's pretty well set up for cooking. It's definitely glamping if your used to camping in a tent.

Cool place but it was deceiving- had to pay another $35 for clean sheets and no towels. Shows private bathroom but it’s shared and across the yard. Very basic. Farther from town then google maps says. You get what you pay for.

Our mini table was broken and the door handle came off due to a set screw not being tightened. Management came quickly and replaced the table. We made due with the door handle as he didn't have the tool to fix it. The hand dryer in one of the two "Water Closets" didn't work, and the light was broken in the other until the next day.

The hut was very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. Overall, it was a great value for what we paid, and it was really quaint!

Checking in unexpectedly required us to call an Icelandic phone umber. We were disappointed in this as we were trying not to use our international phone plan. There was some type of cord or other item outside banging on my cabin all night in the wind, which made it difficult to sleep.

Awesome spot in a small valley-like clearing alongside massive steep rocks. Glamping cabin was cosy and well insulated for cool nights - although we did stay around Autumn.

Toilets and showers definetely need a make over. You pay extra for blankets and pillows (1600 ISK per person). You dont find this information when you book the stay, but get the information in advance so its fair enough.

Beautiful location just beside the golf court and an old nordic museum. Town centre is about 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes walk away. The little cabins are ok, have two beds, two chairs, electricity and a small fridge. They are clean and at a quiet spot in their placement on the campsite. Fair price!

The fridge in our room was quite dirty - when we opened the door, flies came out. That’s probably more down to the people who stayed before us.

It was in a really beautiful location, the pods were really lovely and comfy. Perfect for a step up from camping. Beds were comfy and the place was nice and warm. The toilets and showers were fine for a camping option. Good value for money!

The room was a bit cold. But thats Iceland I guess.

Cozy surrounding with mountains, nice little cabin with a small fridge, but I would have preferred a double bed instead of two single beds. The camping was right around the corner of the elephant rock.

Shared bathrooms and seating area were pretty small and smelly, though there were plenty of toilets despite the grounds being very full. We skipped showering.

Stunning and unusual location - at the base of a cliff with a beautiful (but insane) climb, near an oceanside golf course, by a community pool and playground. Not as remote as the photos on the website make it appear - you are sharing facilities with a campground - but it doesn’t matter. Bungalows are cozy and warm, plenty of outlets. Unique experience for sure!

Communication in advance was great, however- Check-in was confusing. When I got to the address, the woman at the front desk literally put a sign up telling us to call another number. She couldn’t be bothered to even speak to me but could chat with her friend who was hanging out. The number on her sign did not match the number in my reservation. I called, and someone came right over, but it was still weird. Also, today I was awakened by an army of landscapers loudly trimming the grass all around my room. Could ice waited til people were getting up. No one around the office at checkout so I left my key and returned my bedding to the laundry area and hoped for the best.

Excellent and beautiful location. Good value. Was worried about the shared bathrooms and showers but never had to wait.
